Support Patriots Not Illegal Aliens.
Illegal aliens cross fence in Southeastern Arizona. Photo by American Border Patrol. Gunner Delay's new campaing ad clearly identifies that Dustin McDaniel voted to give tax funded scholarships to illegal aliens. McDaniel also refused to support a bill to help children of disabled veterans. McDaniel supports illegal aliens but opposes helping children of disables vets - somethings wrong with this picture. And this guy want to be the chief law enforcement person in Arkansas - NO WAY!
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Gov. Mike Huckabee faulted some congressional Republicans for abandoning party principles and said he is urging local candidates to draw distinctions with the GOP-controlled Congress. ... "When a Republican Congress spends as much as a Democratic Congress, we can hardly call ourselves the party of responsibility," Huckabee said. The governor said many members of Congress "have abandoned those bedrock and hard-core Republican values." He cited actions in which Congress has intruded on states' rights ... by Mike Glover on 9/8/2006 READ MORE ...

State Representative Johnny Key, Minority Leader of the Arkansas House of Representative, asked today "Why do Democrats in Arkansas still try to insist that the Democrat Party isn't the party of homosexual marriage?" He cited the following article from the Washington Blade("news source for Washington's visible Gay community"). The article provides "plenty of proof" that they party advancing the agenda for homosexual marriage: Marriage fight heads to legislatures in N.Y., Calif. DNC promises to fight ballot measures, as Dean assails court ruling. Some excerpts: "The Democratic National Committee, meanwhile, assisted a gay group in Illinois with its efforts to block an anti-gay marriage amendment from going before voters in November and has adopted a five-point plan for fighting similar ballot measures in other states, according DNC spokesperson Danien LaVera. "As we move forward in this election year, we will help in a variety of ways," LaVera said. ... DNC's 5 Point plan to fight ballot measures LaVera said the DNC's five point plan for fighting state ballot measures calling for banning same-sex marriage includes a number of actions the DNC has already put in place. The first calls for labeling the anti-gay ballot measures "divisive" ploys by the Republicans and others to deflect voter attention from other important issues, including "the Bush's administration?s failed policies." Another consists of the state "party-building" operation that Dean started, LaVera said, which includes specific training for state party operatives in all 50 states on how to campaign against anti-gay ballot measures. ... Conservative Democrat Supports Jim Holt for Lt. Governor
Arkansas Times Blog reports that Dan Noble, former campaign manager for Senator Tim Wooldridge, said, "This election cycle I have chosen to volunteer for Senator Holt's campaign and provide any assistance to his campaign in Little Rock and the surrounding areas. I still consider myself an Arkansas Conservative Democrat. Unfortunately, the Democratic nominee (Bill Halter) this year does not represent those beliefs. There are great differences between the two campaigns for Lt Governor ...." Noble said, "This race is not just about serving the people of Arkansas by electing Senator Holt, a veteran who has devoted his life to serving his country and doing what is best for the people of this state. This race is also about showing why Holt?s opponent is not right for this office. Senator Holt's opponent may have left this state over two decades ago with Arkansas values, but he returned a California Liberal and should not be given the opportunity to serve the people of Arkansas."
Senate OK's Massive Defense Bill & Funds for Special CIA Unit
The Senate agreed (98-0) to spend an additional $63 billion for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The overwhelming support for the overall bill and the money to support U.S. troops in harm's way came despite increasing criticism by Democrats of the Bush administration's handling of the war in Iraq. Also, by a 96-0 vote, senators approved $200 million to revive a CIA unit dedicated to hunting down bin Laden and other al-Qaida leaders. News accounts in July said a CIA unit dedicated to capturing bin Laden had been disbanded. 9/7/06Read More...

Georgetown Univ. Ousts Conservative Christian Groups
Georgetown University (GU) has been open to multiple religious viewpoints and proudly proclaims its "religious diversity." But that "diversity" does not include those Protestants or Catholics that hold that the Christian creed as objectively true and the Bible is inerrant. GU in a notice said that after "evaluating many areas of Protestant Ministry?s mission," and GU's "Protestant Ministry has decided to move in another direction." GU said the Affiliated Ministry"s activities would be banned entirely from campus. A lawyer says the reason for dumping the groups has nothing to do with Catholics vs. Protestants or a matter of religious conflict, but of ideological bias. The affected groups include InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (Graduate), Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship, Georgetown Community Church, Crossroad Campus Christian Fellowship and Asian Baptist Student Koinonia.Read More by Hilary White on LifeSite.net ...

Arkansas Times's Max Brantly 9/7/06 reports that "Beebe, in fact, is a walking conflict of interest on account of his long association with powerful lobbyists, from the current head of the poultry federation on down. Lobbyists, including some of the lowest sort, are licking their chops at the prospect of a Beebe governorship. .... But Beebe?s soft spots transcend lobbyist pals. This acknowledged master of the legislative process was at his zenith when Nick Wilson and Co. pushed a felonious get-rich-quick scheme through the legislature. Beebe and his best legislative friends signed off on key elements of the smelly legal services deal and related legislation, if not the hidden fraudulent specifics. Beebe?s past is fair game. ... Even now, Beebe thinks ethics laws are strict enough in a state where a lobby-purchased steak can buy a good vote."
The liberal Arkansas Times blogapprovingly notes GOP Attorney General hopeful Gunner DeLay's call for campaign finance reform as he questions Democrat Dustin McDaniel's receipts from developers. The Citizens Journal blog, notes that McDaniels' contribution reports look a little "shady." However, the Times is conspicuously silent on the same kinds of contributions from developers to other candidates like Mike Beebe, who has stood in the way of stronger private property rights by claiming we just don't need them.
Conservative America is justifiably angry over the lack of Republican representation it receives in Washington. The two biggest bones of contention, spending and immigration, ... Yet regardless of the particular issue in question, the detrimental effects of Republican ineptitude and half-hearted dedication to the party's undergirding principles, while certainly making the case for an overhaul of its leadership, does not suggest in any way that America should turn to the Democrats. The fallout from a Democrat controlled Congress, both in its immediate adverse impact on traditional America as well as the long-term costs involved, would ultimately be far more harmful to the future of the country. And it is by no means guaranteed that such harm could be turned around for many years to come, even in the event that the country were to immediately recognize the error of empowering the left. When it comes to politics and war, everyone has an opinion, although few are well-researched. These days, the facts rarely get in the way of a good marketable story. Columnist David Sanders (Arkansas News Bureau) addresses the problem of low wages in Arkansas and suggests that the old tax-and-spend policies of the past haven?t worked: "For years, Arkansas government has been inwardly focused: Taxing more, spending more, and growing bigger bureaucracies under the guise of offering more services to meet the needs of the people. ... Arkansas incomes have not kept pace with neighboring states.
