Fighting The Virus, Open The Schools, Lowering Drug Costs
Gary Bauer
by Gary Bauer: Fighting The Virus
Yesterday's White House briefing was an extraordinary commentary on what the Trump/Pence Administration has accomplished to get us to the point we're at today. Pfizer is now applying for an emergency use authorization for its vaccine against a virus we only learned about in January.
Usually it takes many years to develop a new vaccine. This time it took only months. And Dr. Fauci made it clear that no corners were cut. This incredible delivery was possible because of the technological breakthroughs that the Trump Administration advanced.
"Speed did not compromise at all safety, nor did it compromise scientific integrity," Fauci said. "It was a reflection of the extraordinary scientific advances in these types of vaccines."
Once the FDA approves a vaccine, mass distribution of millions of doses will begin within 24 to 48 hours of approval.
Yesterday's summary of all that has been done stands in stark contrast to the rollout of the Obamacare website and to what Joe Biden said at his third fake press conference just a few hours before.
Addressing concerns that he might shutdown the economy again, Biden said, "I'm not going to shut down the economy, I'm going to shut down the virus."
In a city that has grown powerful based on little more than hot air and rhetoric, Joe Biden just won the "BS Award of All Time" for that statement. The virus is clearly going to be shut down over the next 12 months but it won't have anything to do with Joe Biden.
His contribution has been hiding in his basement while complaining, distorting and undermining everything that Donald Trump, Mike Pence and their appointees have attempted to do.
What you saw in Biden's statement is that this bald-faced liar is setting the stage now, and he will have the help of a willing media, to claim credit next year (if he wins) when the vaccines developed under the Trump/Pence team are making the virus a sad chapter in America's history.
If people like Kamala Harris and Joe Biden had any decency, they would be apologizing for undermining the integrity of the vaccine. They have planted seeds of doubt in the most vulnerable Democrat voting blocs, most notably black Americans.
What they did in their desire to hurt President Trump will cost lives. They have a moral obligation to make this right.
Open The Schools
It wasn't only Joe Biden who got slapped down yesterday. For months now, the entire media complex has defended liberal politicians, like Bill de Blasio, who closed schools and attacked anyone, including the president, who advocated keeping them open.
School closings, as even a New York Times columnist acknowledges, were based on arbitrary standards that have little to do with science or experience. Yesterday, Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, made that absolutely clear.
Dr. Redfield reminded reporters that the CDC never once recommended closing schools. Then he added:
"The truth is, for kids K through 12, one of the safest places they can be . . . is to remain in school. . . And I'm here to say clearly: The data strongly supports that K-through-12 schools, as well as institutes of higher learning, really are not where we're having our challenges. And it would be counterproductive . . . from a public health point of view . . . to say, 'Let's close the schools.'"
Media Conspiracy Theories
As we noted yesterday, the Trump/Pence campaign is continuing its fight to get illegal votes removed from the vote totals, and to prevent it from happening again in the future. Of course, every Democrat and their media allies are attacking that effort and acting like it is somehow illegal.
I'm sure you have noticed that they are attacking concerns about election integrity as "conspiracy theories," and warning that we are undermining confidence in our electoral system.
Well, after years of pushing the Russia hoax on the country, the Democrats and their media allies have lost all credibility and any right to lecture us about "conspiracy theories."
But I want to remind you about something else. Not that long ago, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the media were insisting, without any proof, that President Trump was going to steal the election through some elaborate plot executed by the U.S. Postal Service.
It was a textbook example of a conspiracy theory. It was laughable on its face, especially given that the Postal workers union endorsed Joe Biden.
There was no evidence for the left's charge, but it was repeated over and over and over. There was no media skepticism of this wild claim. No journalist demanded evidence from Pelosi and Schumer. Nobody accused them of undermining our democracy.
Now these same people scream "Conspiracy Theory!" when we dare to point out that 70% of Detroit's 134 absentee ballot-counting boards couldn't properly match the number of voters to ballots cast.
The Totalitarian Left
The anti-Trump Lincoln Project has launched a jihad to identify and dox any attorney representing the president's campaign. They are publishing their personal information online, putting them and their families at risk. One of Trump's lawyers in Pennsylvania is now under police protection due to unhinged leftist threats against her.
This is a fascist tactic that is un-American, and one of the reasons why this country is so divided. The left did it to Nick Sandmann, a high school student who took a trip to Washington, D.C. They have ruined lives.
While the left won't admit it, this blatant intimidation is one of the arrows in their quiver. And the reason Biden and other Democrats don't condemn it is because it is a useful tool to advance their cause.
Lawyers who represent jihadist suspects in Gitmo get less blowback for representing terrorists than a lawyer representing President Trump or any conservative cause.
Lowering Drug Costs
Moments ago, President Trump announced additional steps intended to lower drug costs. The president is cutting out "middlemen" and requiring $40 billion in rebates to be passed on directly to consumers.
Another part of the president's plan is meant to ensure that big pharmaceutical companies are not charging seniors more than they charge for the same drug in other countries.
For example, the president noted that a common breast cancer medication costs five times more in this country than it does in other countries. Why should our citizens be subsidizing the socialized healthcare of Europeans?
According to some estimates, this could lower Medicare drug payments as much as 30%, and it's just one more example of President Trump putting America first.
Sadly, this issue is one of the reasons the reelection was so challenging for the president. When he took on Big Pharma, the drug industry hit back hard. Here in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., I saw almost as many negative ads by Big Pharma attacking Trump as I saw Biden ads.

Democrat Governors are Suicidal -- or They Don’t Believe in Their Own Lockdowns
To find out what politicians believe, don’t listen to what they say, watch what they do.
by Daniel Greenfield: A week before issuing a statewide mask mandate and a few weeks after trying to ban Thanksgiving, Governor Newsom attended a dinner party, maskless, for a lobbyist.
The size of the party, a dozen people, contravened, Newsom’s own Thanksgiving crackdown limiting gathering sizes and urging members of different households not to mingle. The photos also contravened Newsom’s 93 to wear a mask at dinner between bites.
"COVID-19 has NOT gone away. Take the new case rates seriously. We cannot let our guard down," Newsom had urged on Twitter. "Wear a mask, limit mixing with those you don't live with, and physically distance."
Photos of the dinner party showed no social distancing, no mask wearing, and no precautions.
Those attending the party included not only Newsom, but top California Medical Association officials. The CMA had lobbied to suspend “non-urgent” and “non-essential” procedures. It had also cheered Newsom’s mask mandate warning that “anti-science extremists” were “putting public health at risk” in an ad campaign released earlier this summer by the association.
The anti-science extremists apparently include the CEO of the California Medical Association.
Newsom’s dinner party comes after D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser violated her own quarantine, traveling to Delaware for Biden’s election party, one of the “high-risk” states, while partying with Democrat political operatives, before returning home and then refusing to quarantine.
Bowser claimed that she didn’t have to follow her own rules because it was “official business”.
The coronavirus is presumably obliging enough not to infect politicians who are traveling on official business to party with fellow Democrats, but knows to infect people at Trump rallies.
In Chicago, Mayor Lightfoot told residents to “cancel traditional Thanksgiving plans”, after joining a massive crowd celebrating Biden’s claim to have won the 2020 presidentia election.
“There are times when we actually do need to have relief and come together, and I felt like that was one of those times. That crowd was gathered whether I was there or not,” Lightfoot argued.
Senator Dianne Feinstein was caught repeatedly not using a mask, and Senator Kamala Harris had no problem piling into an elevator with her entire staff. All this is just business as usual.
Even without listing the numerous Black Lives Matter marches and Biden victory parties, or the Women’s March in D.C., it’s all too obvious that Democrat leaders don’t follow the rules.
And that leads to one of two inevitable conclusions.
Either Democrat leaders are suicidal or the mask and lockdown regimen doesn’t work.
But what absolutely cannot be true is the media narrative that Democrats are following science and should be trusted to lead us through the pandemic using a regime of lockdowns and masks.
The same Democrat leadership lecturing us that masks save lives goes maskless whenever it can. And that might be forgivable if they weren’t constantly pretending that the only people not wearing masks are Republican scofflaws who are endangering all of us with their selfishness.
The only thing more unforgivable than corruption is hypocrisy.
But the fundamental question is why Governor Newsom, Governor Cuomo, Mayor Bowser, Mayor Lightfoot, and so many others are casually violating their own restrictions and guidelines.
If Governor Newsom truly believed, as he tweeted, “Wear your mask. Physically distance. Do not let your guard down. Your actions could literally save lives”, would he have joined a crowded party at the French Laundry for a lobbyist and adviser, without doing any of these things?
The only two rational conclusions are that Governor Newsom has no regard for his own life (we already know that he, like most Democrat governors on this list, has no regard for human life when he ordered skilled nursing facilities to accept coronavirus patients in a cruel act that one geriatric doctor compared to, “premeditated murder”) or he doesn’t believe his own guidance.
Are Democrat leaders particularly suicidal? That seems unlikely.
Newsom, Cuomo, Murphy, Whitmer, and Pritzker, not to mention Pelosi, Feinstein, Bowser, and Lightfoot, can be accused of many things, but a wilful disregard for their lives isn’t one of them.
That leaves us with the cold hard reality that they don’t believe the things that they’re telling us.
Some of the violations of guidance meant to stop the spread of the virus can be dismissed as selfishness that doesn’t directly put Whitmer or Pritzker at risk. But when Newsom and Cuomo, among others, casually hang out in close proximity without masks, there’s only one conclusion.
They don’t practice this stuff because they don’t think it works.
What do they know that we don’t? Mostly, that nothing they’re doing will really make a difference, but that they need to be seen to be doing something. This is a common problem in politics. President Trump suffered from poor ratings on the coronavirus because, while his administration did practical things behind the scenes, it didn’t impose abusive mandates.
Like the kind that Biden ran on.
People expect medicine that really works to taste bitter and any real approach to a crisis to cause pain. That’s why we have to take off our shoes and belts when we fly even though the TSA has not stopped a single terrorist attack after all these years of airport shoelessness.
But the TSA was never meant to stop terrorism. It was there to show that the government was taking the problem seriously. And the more miserable flying became, the tighter the security.
There’s a term for that sort of thing: security theater. And there’s a term for what we’re doing now: medical theater. All of these are subsidiaries of political theater in which governments and politicians pretend to be doing things even though they know none of it really matters.
Congress spends a lot of its time holding entirely useless hearings that only exist so that its members can tweet about how seriously they’re taking the thing that the hearing is about.
Governor Cuomo mismanaged the coronavirus in the worst way possible, lying to the public, sending thousands of infected patients into nursing homes, imposing lockdowns and bragging his way through innumerable press conferences, before illegally scapegoating Orthodox Jews for the virus ahead of the second wave, but never missed a press opportunity or book deal.
That’s why his coronavirus leadership book hit the bestseller lists ahead of the morgues.
Democrat politicians know exactly how to navigate the pandemic, not to save lives, but to maximize their approval ratings, book sales, and potential presidential runs down the road. It doesn’t matter how many people die. Arguably more people dying in your state is better.
Just ask Cuomo who still holds down a nationwide championship in coronavirus corpses.
What is really important in any crisis is to be seen taking it very seriously by holding constant press conferences and imposing pain, lockdowns, restrictions, mandates, on the public. The more people suffer, the more a politician must get credit for doing everything to fight the virus.
The governors know that what they’re doing isn’t working and they don’t know what does. Their strategy isn’t to protect the people in their states, but to protect their political careers.
To find out what people really believe, don’t listen to what they say, watch what they do.
Governor Newsom knew, before imposing his statewide mask mandate, that masks don’t work. If he thought they did, he would have been wearing one while hanging out with his pals. But to a lot of people, masks provide a sense of control and so politicians happily mandate masks.
Newsom, Cuomo, Whitmer, Murphy, and the rest of the gubernatorial gang don’t have a plan to deal with the virus. Their only plan is to wait it out and come out looking good. That’s why they wear masks in front of the camera and then take them off the first chance they get.
They’re not leaders, they’re politicians, with no clue what to do in a real crisis. Except lie.
As winter is upon us, there are only two possible explanations why so many governors repeatedly violate the rules that they tell us mean the difference between life and death.
Either they’re suicidal or they’re lying to us.
Since none of them have yet grasped a noose, put shotguns in their ears, or plunged needles filled with uncut heroin in their veins, they’re not suicidal. They are corrupt and incompetent. And while they destroy the lives and livelihoods of millions, they go on partying behind closed doors.

Our Entire Election System May Be Fatally Compromised
by Rick Manning: At yesterday’s news conference, former New York City Mayor and U.S. attorney Rudy Giuliani made a compelling and virtually irrefutable case that the Biden campaign engaged in a nationwide voter fraud scheme. Giuliani, who rose to fame through his prosecution of the Gambino crime syndicate using federal racketeering statutes, known criminal networks.
Showing affidavits from election officials, Giuliani describes chaos in vote counting centers. In one city, poll workers imported 60,000-100,000 ballots and repeatedly submitted the same ballot into voting machines, counting a single ballot multiple times.
As Giuliani stated at the press conference, defining the problem of overvoting in Wisconsin and Michigan: “Run over into the thousands and there were many precincts in which there was an overvote. Now let me explain to you what an overvote is which is something you should have explained to the American people because it’s about the clearest circumstantial evidence of massive fraud that you can have. An overvote is if 200 percent of the people who are registered in a district vote. Think about that. 200 percent of the registered voters in a district vote. What does that mean? That means somebody voted twice, that means somebody who’s not entitled to vote voted, an illegal, a person from another city or state, a person who’s not registered, but what it means is that those are illegitimate votes. You don’t have an overvote of 200 percent or 300 percent. You don’t have an overvote of 100 percent. Most precincts don’t have 100 percent turnout. In fact, classically it’s considered to be an overvote if you go over 80 percent. Well in Michigan and Wisconsin, we have overvotes in numerous precincts, of 150 percent, 200 percent, and 300 percent.”
Next, in Wisconsin, absentee ballot laws are strict. Only absentee ballots with an accompanying ballot application are valid, those without applications are thrown out. Mayor Giuliani offered proof that more than 60,000 votes in Democrat strongholds Milwaukee and Dane County will be disqualified due to the lack of an actual application for these ballots.
As Giuliani stated, “We have to first create a contest in Wisconsin before we can move to bringing a fulsome federal lawsuit. The contest, from everything I can see, is going to overturn the vote, because it’s going to show somewhere around 100,000 illegal ballots in two counties that Biden carried by 75, 80 percent and you know how close Wisconsin is. What I’m talking about is the absentee ballots for which there were no applications. That’s not just a small matter. The reason for the application and the reason to keep all these things together is precisely to avoid what the Democrats did in this election, which is to misuse the absentee ballot process and the mail-in ballot process in order to cheat.”
Overall, Giuliani’s assertion that the president of the United States won Pennsylvania by 300,000 votes and Michigan by 50,000 votes makes it obvious that the very legitimacy of our republic is at stake. The courts must be given every opportunity to determine the election outcome.
From an electoral college standpoint, President Trump has a clear and obvious pathway to the presidency and given the massive nature and depth of the fraud committed in this election, Joe Biden should be forced to defend the fact that his party’s poll workers and election officials failed to allow real oversight on both election day and after in critical Democratic strongholds.
This is about more than who becomes president of the United States. It is about Americans ability to have any level of confidence that our election system has not be fatally compromised.

by Jerry Cox: On Wednesday Senator Jason Rapert (R – Conway) and Rep. Mary Bentley (R – Perryville) filed S.B. 6 to make abortion illegal in Arkansas except when the mother’s life is at stake. If passed, the bill will generally prohibit abortion in Arkansas and give the U.S. Supreme Court an opportunity to overturn Roe v. Wade, Doe v. Bolton, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, and other pro-abortion decisions.
Family Council President Jerry Cox released a statement saying, “Many people have been saying for almost fifty years that abortion should be illegal. The time has come for us to make it so. S.B. 6 will give the U.S. Supreme Court the opportunity to overturn Roe v. Wade. Family Council fully supports the passage of this good law. This is an opportunity for Arkansas to be a real leader in the effort to end abortion in America.”
Cox pointed out that public opinion polling shows Arkansans oppose abortion. “Arkansans are overwhelmingly pro-life. Recent public opinion polling shows twenty-three percent of Arkansans believe abortion ought to be completely illegal, and fifty-nine percent believe abortion ought to be legal only under certain circumstances.”
Cox said Family Council will work to mobilize Arkansans to support S.B. 6. “We have a grassroots network of about ten thousand Arkansans and churches across the state, and we work very closely with pro-life organizations that oppose abortion nationwide. We believe they will be very excited about supporting this legislation, and they will want to do their part to secure its passage.”

At A Diplomatic Crossroad, it is Time For Israel To Act
Caroline Glick
by Caroline Glick: Three diplomatic events transpired this week. Together they describe the crossroads before which Israel now stands following the US presidential elections.
First, on Tuesday, the Palestinian Authority announced it is renewing its security coordination with the IDF after suspending it six months ago. The PA also expressed willingness to accept tax revenues that Israel collects on its behalf. The PA has refused to accept the tax revenues since June because, in accordance with Israeli law, the government announced that it would deduct the sums the PA pays monthly to terrorists from the tax revenues it transfers.
The PA’s sudden willingness to renew security coordination and accept money from Israel is clearly intended as a gesture of goodwill towards presumptive president-elect Joe Biden and his team. Over the past two weeks, the members of Biden’s team have made it clear in open and closed forums that they intend to reinstate the Obama administration’s Palestinian-centric Middle East policies immediately after taking office.
Speaking of the Biden team’s messaging, a Palestinian official explained earlier in the week, “We have received many positive messages from the Biden team in the past few days. We are looking forward to opening a new page with the Biden administration after the damage caused by the Trump administration.”
According to Israeli political sources, Biden’s team intends to reinstate negotiations between Israel and the PLO on the basis of the long-mordant Oslo accords. The sources claim Biden is even taking Oslo mediator Dennis Ross out of cold storage for that purpose. Ross’s longtime deputy Aaron David Miller penned an op-ed in Canada’s National Post this week where he argued that President Donald Trump has been bad for Israel and good for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Biden, Miller insisted, would be good for Israel, (and by extension, bad for the democratically elected prime minister). Miller argued that Israel is better off when the US places the Palestinians center stage and joins the Europeans in genuflecting before Iran and its nuclear weapons program under the guise of nuclear diplomacy.
In 2013-14, Martin Indyk served as the head of then-Secretary of State John Kerry’s negotiations team. Indyk pulled out all the stops to coerce Israel into transferring the vast majority of Judea and Samaria to PLO control and to partitioning Jerusalem. He bitterly blamed Israel when his aggressive efforts came to naught.
Now back in business, Indyk published an article last week on NBC‘s website setting out how Biden should go about reinstating Obama’s Middle East policies.
Indyk argued that to advance the cause of peace, Biden should pick on Israel. Biden, Indyk advised, needs to force Israel to accept the Kerry (Indyk) plan as a basis for negotiations, ban all Israeli Jewish construction in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria, and force Israel to give land in Judea and Samaria to the PLO. Indyk called on the Arab states that have peaceful relations with Israel to reinstate the Palestinian veto – conditioning ties with them on Israeli concessions to the Palestinians.
Indyk’s advice is noteworthy in the context of the two other events that happened this week. First, Wednesday saw Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif al-Zayani arrive in Israel for a first official visit by a Bahraini leader. During his meetings in Jerusalem, al-Zayani formally requested to open a Bahraini embassy in Israel and committed to further strengthening bilateral ties between Manama and Jerusalem.
Along the same lines, last week, Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed accepted President Reuven Rivlin’s invitation to pay an official visit to Israel. Al-Zayani’s visit, like bin Zayed’s announcement, indicates that Israel’s partners in the Abraham Accords have no intention of following Indyk’s advice and subordinating their national interests to the whims of the PLO’s decrepit leadership.
Indeed, they have positively had it with the Palestinians and their grievance-mongering. Last month, a UAE official referred to the PA and Hamas as “corrupt murderers,” and last Friday, Saudi writer Osama Yamani published an article in the regime-backed Ukaz newspaper rejecting the Palestinians’ Islamic significance.
Titled, Where is Al-Aqsa Mosque? Yamani’s article insists that the Palestinian and Muslim Brotherhood claims regarding al-Aqsa, the place Islam’s Prophet Muhammed alighted to in his nighttime flight to heaven, are false. The Palestinians and the Muslim Brotherhood say that al-Aqsa is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. But in keeping with Saudi Wahabi belief, Yamani insisted that al-Aqsa is in Jarana, a village located 30 kilometers (18 miles) northeast of Mecca.
Needless to say, if the Sunni Arab world outside the Brotherhood’s orbit embraces the Wahabist view, Arab support for the Palestinian war against Israel will dry up regardless of who sits in the White House.
The third diplomatic event of the week was US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s historic visit to a winery in Samaria. Psagot winery’s award-winning wines have made it a top target for the anti-Semitic boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaigns against Israel. Ahead of Pompeo’s visit, the first by a US secretary of state to an Israeli community in Judea and Samaria, the secretary of state met with Netanyahu in Jerusalem. Referring to BDS as a “cancer,” Pompeo announced, “We will recognize the global BDS campaign as anti-Semitic.”
Pompeo visited the Psagot Winery because a year ago, its owner created a new blend called “Pompeo” in honor of the secretary of state following Pompeo’s landmark decision to renounce the State Department’s longstanding position that Israeli communities beyond the 1949 armistice lines are inherently illegal. The Pompeo Doctrine determined that there is nothing inherently illegal about Israel’s communities in the areas.
Pompeo’s visit wasn’t merely a public relations victory for Israel and its long fight against those who reject its very right to exist, and al-Zayani’s visit was no mere formality. Both visits, like bin Zayed’s decision to come to Jerusalem and Yamani’s article, are invitations for the Netanyahu government to make the best use possible of Trump’s remaining time in office.
While fighting his legal battles to against what appear to be gross acts of election fraud which may even have tipped the elections in Biden’s favor, President Trump is also working to anchor and solidify his achievements. Foreign affairs have figured prominently in these efforts. Trump’s decision to fire his contrarian Defense Secretary Mark Esper and other key Pentagon officials and replace them with professionals who share his strategic outlook has been seen mainly as a means for Trump to keep his 2016 pledge to draw down US forces from Afghanistan after 19 years.
But it is possible that there will be other consequences to Trump’s late change of Pentagon leadership, particularly in relation to Iran and its nuclear weapons program.
This week, the New York Times reported that after the elections, Trump considered taking military action against Iran’s nuclear installations but was convinced to stand down. It’s impossible to assess the credibility of the report but it seems far-fetched that administration officials involved in such classified discussions would share their contents with a paper that has spent the past four years bashing Trump.
What we do know from the past four years of Trump’s leadership of US policy towards Iran is that although he is not at all eager to fight Iran directly, Trump won’t try to stop US allies from fighting Iran directly.
Earlier this week it was reported that Israel is grudgingly presenting Biden’s team with its positions ahead of their renewed nuclear courtship of Iran. As Netanyahu and his advisers prepare for a Biden administration, it behooves them to take advantage of the current diplomatic and strategic state of play to minimize Iran’s ability to develop a nuclear arsenal. With the Saudis and other Arab governments publicly warning Biden and his associates not to re-enter nuclear talks Tehran, it is a safe bet that Israel won’t be alone in its efforts.
As for the Palestinians, in his missive, Indyk wrote contemptuously, “Trump’s ‘deal’ [for peace between Israel and the Palestinians] should be taken off the table when he departs the White House.” Biden’s team’s efforts to date indicate they have share Indyk’s view and fully intend to begin where Indyk, Kerry and Barack Obama left off four years ago.
But, as Pompeo’s visit to Psagot Winery makes clear, for now, Trump’s “deal of the century” which supports Israeli sovereignty over the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria and in the Jordan Valley is still very much on the table.
The leaders of the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria are calling for the government to use the next two months to normalize the status of Israel’s younger communities in the areas. It certainly makes sense to follow their advice with all due haste. It is similarly important for the government to restore the decision-making power for planning and construction schemes in Judea, Samaria and unified Jerusalem to local planning boards.
As part of the Obama administration’s explicit efforts to demonize Jewish life in these areas, Obama coerced Netanyahu into agreeing that every new construction project in them would require the prime minister’s signature to move forward. That move, made under duress, should be abrogated immediately.
More to the point, in the face of the open hostility Biden’s team is now expressing towards those property rights and towards Israel’s sovereign rights in Judea and Samaria more generally, it would be eminently reasonable, and indeed a matter of great urgency, for the Netanyahu government to secure Trump’s permission to apply our sovereignty to Israel’s communities in Judea and Samaria and to the Jordan Valley in the framework of the Trump peace plan.
A good target date for such a move would be Dec. 23 – the fourth anniversary of the Obama administration’s facilitation of the passage of UN Security Council Resolution 2234, which libelously defined Israeli communities and neighborhoods in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem as a “flagrant violation of international law and a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-State solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.”
The Abraham Accords have ushered in an era of comprehensive peace. The two-state solution, such as it is, can only be viable if Israel has secure borders and if the Palestinians recognize the Jewish people’s national rights to our ancestral homeland, which includes unified Jerusalem, the communities in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley. And, as the Pompeo Doctrine made clear, the Israeli communities are not inherently illegal. Israel has sovereign rights to Judea and Samaria under international law.
The events of the last several days demonstrate clearly where we are and where we are heading. It is critical that Israel take advantage of where we are to secure its interests as it moves towards a new diplomatic reality in January.

Mr. Maher once said the sun rises in the east. I concur. He also says that Democrats shouldn’t be so off-puttingly wackadoodle and tyrannical. Correct.
According to Maher, “Democrats are the party of every hypersensitive, social justice warrior, woke bulls—t. The party that disappears people or tries to make them apologize for ridiculous things. [Democrats] think silence is violence, and looting is not. [And we’re the party of] replacing ‘Let’s not see color’ with ‘Let’s see it always and everywhere.’”
In his indictment, the HBO jester argues “the crux of the problem” is that “Democrats too often don’t come across as having common sense to a huge swath of people.”
Right again!
“It would be so easy to win elections,” he deduces, “if we would just drop this s**t!”
Maher notes a New York Times post-election report that congressional “Democrats wept, cursed and traded blame” over the election results on a recent conference call. Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) warned that “we’re not going to win” in Georgia if Democrats are talking “Medicare for all or defunding police or socialized medicine.”
“Democratic rhetoric needs to be dialed back,” Maher quotes Rep. Connor Lamb (D-Pa.). “It needs to be rooted in common sense.”
“I feel like I’m being asked to be quiet,” responded squad-member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).
Tlaib is half right. The solution to this problem for Democrats is to abandon their anti-common-sense positions. Not to hide them.
This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob.

Biden and Musk Owe China Billions. They Shouldn't Be Working for Government
by Seton Motley, Contributing Author: At what point do people who can’t get security clearances to deliver sandwiches to people with security clearances – get disqualified from anything government?
In prospective president Joe Biden and Welfare King government money recipient Elon Musk – we have two people who can’t deliver a secure lunch. And shouldn’t be allowed to do so.
Actually, bizarrely, the president does not have to pass any sort of security check.
“Tony Bobulinski said…he met with former Vice President Joseph R. Biden in a darkened Beverly Hills bar for an hour to discuss a new business venture with Hunter Biden and James Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee’s son and brother….
“Hunter Biden wanted Mr. Bobulinski to meet the elder Mr. Biden in May 2017 to size up the person who would run a family business….
“‘They were wining and dining me and presenting the strength of the Biden family,’ Mr. Bobulinski said.”
“Hunter flew aboard Air Force Two to China in December 2013, accompanying his then-veep father on an official visit where Joe Biden reportedly met with Hunter’s Chinese partners.
“Ten days later, Hunter’s company inked a deal with the state-owned Bank of China and created the $1 billion investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR)….
“A representative for BHR told The New Yorker in July 2019 that Hunter Biden introduced his father to Chinese private equity executive Jonathan Li during the trip. Li later became the CEO of BHR.”
Of course, Joe Biden denies the increasingly obvious. But….
“According to a 2019 Securities and Exchange filing, the Chinese government helped Musk secure $1.6 BILLION in loans.…
“Elon Musk has a HUGE Communist China problem.
“For Musk, huge government money is a way of life. Even if it’s Communist China huge government money.”
Yes, indeed. Musk being on the hook for billions to Communists should immediately disqualify him from doing any work for – let alone continuing to receive government handouts from – We the People.
This legislation is…common sense. But this is DC – and common sense is verboten in DC. Also: Too many in DC are also on the Communist China teat. So this legislation hasn’t moved an inch.
“When the U.S. Air Force announced Aug. 7 that SpaceX received a $316 million contract to launch a National Reconnaissance Office satellite in fiscal year 2022, many were surprised by the large price tag….
“‘The launch was not that expensive,’ (SpaceX President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne) Shotwell said.”
“The $316 million contract was the first awarded to SpaceX under the National Security Space Launch Phase 2 launch service procurement.
“The other provider selected in this program, United Launch Alliance, was awarded $337 million to launch two missions comparable to the one awarded to SpaceX.
“This raised eyebrows because SpaceX’s previous national security launch bids were priced much lower than ULA’s. A recent Falcon Heavy launch contract SpaceX won from NASA, for example, was $117 million.”
Now we’re paying Musk double the going rate of his competitors? Why?:
“SpaceX is…charging the government for the cost of an extended payload fairing, upgrades to the company’s West Coast launch pad at Vandenberg Air Force in California, and a vertical integration facility required for NRO missions.”
“Musk told Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan in a December meeting that SpaceX had written ‘a poor proposal’ that had ‘missed the mark,’ according to report from the Pentagon’s inspector general.”
I wonder if the Air Force called Musk as its star witness?
Here’s another question: Why – after being baselessly sued by a self-admittedly baseless Musk – did the Air Force subsequently OVER-pay for Musk’s services?
A Musk so fully and obviously compromised to Communist China?
Because government.

by Larry Elder: After four years of attacking President Donald Trump as “illegitimate,” “fascist,” “Nazi,” “tyrant,” “dictator,” “racist,” “anti-Semitic,” “Russian stooge,” “traitor,” “grifter,” “xenophobe,” “sexist,” “homophobe,” “ignorant,” “fat” and “lazy,” former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive president-elect, now says, “Let’s heal.”
In his “victory speech,” Biden said: “And to those who voted for President Trump, I understand your disappointment tonight.
“I’ve lost a couple of elections myself. But now, let’s give each other a chance.
“It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric. To lower the temperature. To see each other again. To listen to each other again.
“To make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy. We are not enemies. We are Americans.
“The Bible tells us that to everything there is a season — a time to build, a time to reap, a time to sow. And a time to heal.
“This is the time to heal in America.”
Well, that’s lovely. But please forgive Trump supporters for not being in a mood to “heal.” How bogus was the Trump-Russia collusion investigation that consumed most of the Trump presidency? Neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris bothered to mention it during the campaign. Ditto for Trump’s impeachment. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former FBI Director James Comey now admit that, knowing then what they know now, they would not have signed off on FISA warrants that were crucial to the investigation.
National Review wrote: “Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein testified to Congress on Wednesday that he would not have signed off on a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant renewal to spy on former Trump campaign associate Carter Page had he been aware then of the unreliability of the underlying evidence.
“‘If you knew then what you know now, would you have signed the application?’ Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham asked Rosenstein during his testimony.
“‘No, I would not,’ Rosenstein replied.”
Similarly, Comey admits he would not have signed off on the Carter Page FISA applications if he knew then what he knows now. “No, I would want a much more complete understanding of what we were doing,” said Comey.
The New York Post wrote:
“(Sen. Lindsey) Graham also unloaded on (former FBI Deputy-turned-Acting Director Andrew) McCabe for signing off on a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign aide Carter Page, which an ex-FBI lawyer has since pleaded guilty to falsifying documents in order to obtain.
“‘If you knew then what you know now would you have signed the warrant application in June of 2017 against Carter Page?’ Graham asked.
“‘No, sir,’ responded McCabe.
“‘Who is responsible for ruining Mr. Carter Page’s life?’ Graham asked, saying the warrant was ‘completely devoid of the truth.’
“‘I think that we are all responsible for the work that went into that FISA,’ the ex-director said.”
Republicans and Democrats acknowledge the 2016 Russian election interference, but 78% of Democrats, according to an August 2018 Gallup poll, believe that “Russians interfered in the 2016 campaign and that it changed the outcome of the election.” Never mind that Jeh Johnson, President Barack Obama’s secretary of Homeland Security, in his 2017 prepared testimony before Congress, said: “On Election Day, DHS assembled a crisis-response team to rapidly address any reported cyber intrusions into the election process. To my current knowledge, the Russian government did not through any cyber intrusion alter ballots, ballot counts or reporting of election results.”
Whatever Russia, China or Iran did to meddle with our elections pales in comparison to the impact of our biased, bigoted, Republican-hating, class-warfare waging, secular, “health care is a right,” “there’s no such thing as illegal people, only ‘undocumented,'” Donald Trump-hating media. Let’s compare the impact of Russian, Chinese or Iranian election interference with the election interference of the American media.
In his book “Left Turn: How Liberal Media Bias Distorts the American Mind,” Professor Tim Groseclose, economics and political science professor, attempts to quantify the impact of our left-wing media. How do our overwhelmingly liberal media affect how Americans think and vote? Groseclose wrote in 2011:
“For the past several years, I have researched this question, trying to solve the following thought experiment: What if media bias were suddenly to disappear? In such a world, how would America look and act politically?
“The answer is, approximately like Texas.” (Note: This year, President Trump handily won that state.)
“More specifically, if media bias were to disappear, according to the analysis, then America would think and vote like any region that voted around 56-43 percent for Republican John McCain in the last presidential election. Besides Texas, such regions include Kansas, North Dakota, Kentucky, Salt Lake County, Utah, and Orange County, Calif.”
Dean Baquet, executive editor of The New York Times, once admitted, “The left, as a rule, does not want to hear thoughtful disagreement.” Given this mentality, liberals, Democrats and the media find Trump absolutely, positively insufferable. This raises a question. Mr. Biden, which side needs to heal?

by Cliff Kincaid: Military whistleblower Lt. Col. (Ret.) Tony Shaffer tells me on America’s Survival TV that President Trump should never concede an election “victory” to Biden. There’s just too much evidence that the election was stolen, perhaps through electronic voting system shenanigans with the connivance of U.S. intelligence agencies.
On three important issues—illegal drugs that destroy the ability of young people to think, economic destruction caused by Covid-19 lockdowns, and the deliberate murder of the innocent unborn—the Biden agenda is clear. Millions could die.
Out of this will come what has been called the New World Order and is now openly referred to as the Great Reset. Only Trump and his backers stand in the way.
Consider the movement to legalize marijuana and other mind-altering drugs. Originated with money from the likes of Hugh Hefner and billionaire George Soros, it has grown to the point where CNBC’s financial guru, Jim Cramer, is promoting and exploiting the increasing addiction to drugs for profit. This is the Wall Street mentality—money at any cost.
“Cannabis Stocks in 2021,” proclaims one of Cramer’s email messages promoting the marijuana business. “With Joe Biden winning the election,” says Cramer—ignoring the evidence of election fraud—“marijuana legalization becomes more likely. The impact of this election on the cannabis industry is enormous. If you join Real Money now, investing experts will give you the companies you can buy and investing advice on cannabis stocks.” His newsletter is Real Money. In this case, he makes money at the expense of the lives of people, many of them young, addicted to the drug, becoming stoned, and in some cases resorting to violence against others or themselves.
Drug deaths
Consider the case of Johnny Stack, a young man who committed suicide on November 20, 2019, as a result of cannabis psychosis. He began smoking pot at the age of 14 when it was legalized in Colorado and drug dealers operated in the open, even in and around schools. He then started to “dab” high potency pot, leading to psychotic episodes. His mother Laura describes how all of this culminated in her son jumping off a six-story building in an impulsive act of fear and desperation.
On the other hand, in hailing the election of “President-elect” Biden, Jim Cramer notes that young people voted for Biden because of climate change, a debatable theory, and because we can now transform our economy into one operated on the basis of “green energy.” It’s a dangerous fraud, just like the stolen elections.
If Johnny Stack had survived, perhaps he could enlist in one of Joe Biden’s proposed new foreign wars. Odds are that Biden will expand the U.S. military presence in the Middle East, especially in Syria, jeopardizing Trump’s peace deals between various Arab states and Israel. Biden’s recent “national security briefing” included representatives of two major defense contractors.
In some areas, such as military technology, it makes sense to maintain or increase defense spending. The National Interest reports evidence that Russia and China are outpacing the U.S. in military technology. But more foreign wars on behalf of Muslims who hate us is lunacy.
An honest leftist by the name of Chloe Rafferty notes that Biden, who once wrote a Wall Street Journal article “How I Learned to Love the New World Order,” has “backed U.S. intervention in the Balkan war, supported the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, voted for the war on Iraq in 2003 and, as vice president, backed the U.S. intervention in Libya.” Yet, look at how many “progressives” endorsed Biden.
Most conservatives backed the Afghanistan war, in response to 9/11, but continuing to fight this war 19 years later, after it has turned into a futile nation-building exercise, makes no sense. That’s why Trump is trying to get our troops home.
Sounding tough about the Russians and the Chinese, Biden actually favors a global accommodation with both of these adversaries. That means the integration of capitalism with communism, creating a one-world socialist state. In this scenario, China will be the new model for the world and will dominate the Great Reset, after devastating the world with its China virus.
Biden’s backers
The brilliant researcher Trevor Loudon told me in an ASI TV interview (and he documents in his book White House Reds) that Biden owes his political career to the Council for a Livable world, a group started by alleged Soviet agent Leo Szilard. The Council was supported by money from Al Gore Sr., who in turn was funded by Soviet agent Armand Hammer.
Truth be told, the evidence suggests that Biden is pro-Russian. He vows to pursue unverifiable “arms control” agreements with the Russians.
Biden, of course, is also linked through his son Hunter to the Chinese communists, a story suppressed by Big Tech as people were voting in the 2020 U.S. election. This kind of censorship should be enough to declare the election null and void. No way was it a fair and honest election—a fact that makes the case for Trump staying in office even more solid.
Meanwhile, as noted by Bill Donohue of the Catholic League, Biden is determined to promote more deaths from abortion. “Among Biden's top priorities,” Donohue says, “is to codify into law the Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade. In other words, Biden wants to lock in the right of a woman to abort her child at any moment of pregnancy, for any reason whatsoever, thus blunting any future court challenges.” What’s more, “Biden also wants to get rid of the Hyde Amendment, thus forcing taxpayers to pay for abortions.” This means the grand total of 63 million abortions in the U.S. will accelerate under Biden.
In this context, it is interesting to note that some churches last Sunday were ordered to pray for a “peaceful transition of power” in the United States, when the results have not been certified and legal actions are still underway. In Washington, D.C., this reflected the influence of Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory, the seventh Archbishop of Washington who is a pawn of Pope Francis. Gregory hates Trump and denounced him during the campaign. Francis is hoping for a major role in Joe Biden’s “New World Order” and the “Great Reset.” Putting his own spin on it, Francis issued an encyclical "Fratelli tutti," translated as “All Brothers.” It is the Gospel of the one-worlders.
Meanwhile, Biden proposes more economic lockdowns in response to the China virus, a policy that will result in more deaths from suicides and drug overdoses. A Biden presidency means a national policy of accelerating the arrest of church-goers, while abortion clinics and pot shops keep operating—killing human beings or altering peoples’ minds so they become numb to what is happening before them.
Oregon just voted to decriminalize all hard drugs, including heroin, LSD, and cocaine. Look for drug injection sites to start popping up all around the country under a Biden presidency. This is the CIA MK-Ultra mind-control project made into official U.S. government policy.
In Canada, a revolt is underway as people reject masks, unreliable virus tests, and unproven and risky vaccines. We ought to take a look at what’s happening in our neighbor to the north, as Action4Canada activist Tanya Gaw tells me that people are waking up. She has hired a first-rate lawyer to overturn the restrictions on human rights countenanced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who just recently admitted what Biden has not – that all of this hysteria is designed to usher in a “Great Reset” into global socialism.
Gaw says she knows of no one who has died of Covid-19 but is aware of several suicides and many overdose deaths linked to the lockdowns and social isolation.
Need for a speech to the nation
To avoid this fate for America, Trump must remain in power. And there’s a way to do this because, as Trump maintains—with evidence—the election was stolen from him, and his campaign and supporters were illegally and unconstitutionally silenced by Big Tech.
The Trump Campaign news conference on Thursday on election fraud, featuring Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, was a good start. Powell hinted at a role in the fraud played by U.S. intelligence agencies.
Some are saying that the president has to eventually do what President Dwight Eisenhower did when he explained to the America people what’s happening behind the scenes with the military industrial complex. These Trump supporters say that Trump must explain in detail the Deep State conspiracy to destroy his presidency and steal the elections. They say he must immediately declassify all evidence of malfeasance.
We are in what may seem like uncharted territory. But in another episode of my television show, geopolitical analyst Jeff Nyquist considered the possibility of two different presidents, with Trump remaining in the White House and Biden taking the “oath of office” somewhere else, perhaps Sacramento, California. All of this could lead, as incredible as it sounds, to the blue states on the West Coast becoming a base of support for “President Biden.” Most of the rest of the country would stand with Trump.
Nyquist's recent column, "Two Presidents, Two Narratives," looks back at the time when we in effect had two presidents. Jefferson Davis was inaugurated in the south and Abraham Lincoln followed suit in the north. Lincoln didn’t think the southern states would ever leave the union. Of course, that led to a bloody civil war, costing 500,000 lives.
Trump has to recognize that staying in power is the only peaceful way to avoid having Biden impose his agenda of death and destruction on the nation as a whole.
Today, Nyquist writes, the United States “is now divided into two camps, governed by diametrically opposing principles. The differences are now so striking, so profound, that it is inconceivable they will long tolerate one another. The violence of last summer is but a foretaste of what we should expect.”
We can expect such violence if Biden doesn’t manage to seize power through fraudulent elections. But fear of the aftermath if Trump stays in the White House is no reason for Trump to vacate the presidency. In the face of the threat from Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and other communist groups, Trump needs to stay in power and keep the country together, in the name of national sovereignty. He is wise to purge his administration of traitors and disloyal bureaucrats.
Abolishing Thanksgiving and Christmas
At the same time, as we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, Biden is telling people that, “if in fact we’re going to have Thanksgiving with anyone,” it should be limited to five or 10 people, who should be socially distanced and wearing masks. That’s for us commoners. He’ll probably have a mask-free dinner, just like the other hypocritical liberal politicians who preach one thing and practice another.
This advice will only further depress people already suffering during the China virus lockdowns. The holidays, rather than being a happy time, are traditionally a depressing period for people cut off from their loved ones. In fact, a new book, Surviving the Holidays While Grieving, examines this topic.
With good reason, Senate Republicans refused to endorse House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s so-called Covoid-19 “relief” bill that mainly compensated bankrupt blue states and the marijuana industry. (It had 68 references to the marijuana industry.) Pelosi didn’t want to compromise. As a result, we can expect more depression, suicides, and deaths from those being isolated.
Jobs are now being lost and reports indicate that 23 million Americans didn't have enough to eat last week. Trump has to use every executive measure he has to defeat the lockdowns being imposed by governors like Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and keep the country open.
In this national emergency and constitutional crisis, we need a president who will resist further destruction of the economy and our lives. National survival is at stake.

6 Big Claims by Trump’s Lawyers About Overturning Election Results
by Fred Lucas: President Donald Trump’s campaign legal team on Thursday released new affidavits alleging election irregularities while also making serious accusations of nationally coordinated fraud by local election officials to obscure a Trump “landslide.”
The press conference, led by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and held at Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, went well over 90 minutes and proved to be as fiery as it was lengthy.
“President Trump won by a landslide. We are going to prove it,” Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell, a former federal prosecutor, said at one point.
The legal team said it will present evidence in new court cases asking judges for restraining orders and temporary injunctions to block certification of the election results in several close battleground states where former Vice President Joe Biden currently leads Trump.
Time is critical, as states have until Dec. 8 to certify their vote in the presidential race. The Electoral College will meet Dec. 14 to elect a president.
Here are key highlights from the lawyers’ press conference.
1. Enough to Overturn Election
The most significant claim made by Giuliani was that affidavits obtained by the president’s legal team will provide enough evidence to overturn the election. Major media outlets called the election for Biden on Nov. 7, saying he was projected to win more than the necessary 270 votes in the Electoral College.
“We have more than double the number of votes needed to overturn the election in terms of provable illegal ballots,” Giuliani said of cities in the six states. “All you got to do to find out if I’m misleading you at all is to look at the lawsuits. Look what’s alleged. Look at the affidavits. Maybe we can supply more affidavits. In order to do it, I have to get permission from the people.”
Giuliani said most of those who agreed to sign affidavits feared threats and other harassment if their names became public through the media.
Trump’s legal team said it has 220 sworn affidavits from residents across multiple states; the ones made public are from residents of Pennsylvania and Michigan.
However, all the affidavits would be part of the court record.
Giuliani said the campaign’s investigators also found evidence of fraud in New Mexico and Virginia.
According to one affidavit, a supervisor told Michigan election workers not to request photo identification from voters, which is required by state law.
Another affidavit claims that election workers in Pennsylvania were instructed to assign ballots without names to random people. This resulted in thousands of Pittsburgh residents showing up to vote only to be told that they already were marked as having voted, the lawyers said.
One election supervisor in Michigan told workers—according to a third affidavit—to alter the dates on mail-in ballots to make it appear the ballots had arrived earlier.
Giuliani said that as many as 100,000 absentee ballots should have been disqualified in Wisconsin, a number that easily would give the state to Trump.
Trump also should have carried Pennsylvania by 300,000 votes, he said.
2. ‘Trump Won by a Landslide’
Powell described the problems with Dominion Voting Systems, a manufacturer of voting machines, and what she said were the company’s ties to the socialist government of Venezuela.
“This is stunning, heartbreaking, infuriating, and the most unpatriotic act I can even imagine for people in this country to have participated in in any way, shape, or form,” Powell said of the alleged widescale fraud, adding:I want the American public to know right now, we will not be intimidated. American patriots are fed up with the corruption from the local level to the highest level of our government. We are not going to be intimidated. We are not going to back down. We are going to clean this mess up now. President Trump won by a landslide. We are going to prove it.Powell alleged the massive influence of “communist money” from Venezuela, Cuba, and likely China to interfere in the U.S. election. She added that “no one should want a coronation of a president” under these suspect circumstances.
“There should never be another election in this country—I don’t care if it’s for dogcatcher—using a Dominion machine and Smartmatic software,” Powell said.
Dominion Voting Systems entered a 2009 contract with Smartmatic, which builds and implements electronic voting systems, and provided it with optical scanners used in the 2010 election in the Philippines, Accesswire reported.
Lawsuits in the Philippines ensued over glitches and allegations of fraud. An independent review of source codes used in the machines found numerous problems, saying: “The software inventory provided by Smartmatic is inadequate, … which brings into question the software credibility.”
Smartmatic’s chairman, Mark Malloch-Brown, is a member of the British House of Lords. He also is a member of the Global Board of the Soros-founded Open Society Foundations, The Associated Press reported.
In a response to a request for comment from The Daily Signal, Dominion referred to information from a press release it issued earlier this week.
“There have been no ‘raids’ of Dominion servers by the U.S. military or otherwise, and Dominion does not have servers in Germany,” the release says, adding later:Dominion and Smartmatic do not collaborate in any way and have no affiliate relationships or financial ties. Dominion does not use Smartmatic software. The only associations the companies have ever had were:
—In 2009, Smartmatic licensed Dominion machines for use in the Philippines. The contract ended in a lawsuit.
—In 2010, Dominion purchased certain assets from Sequoia, a private U.S. company. Smartmatic, a previous owner of Sequoia, pursued legal actions against Dominion.3. Biden’s ‘Freudian Slip’
Giuliani noted that the danger of mail-in voting has been cited by such liberal sources as former President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat; former Supreme Court Justice David Souter; and The New York Times.
“This is the first time we did it en masse, and I think we’ve proven that all three are prophets,” Giuliani said of voting by mail. “It’s not only susceptible to fraud, it is easily susceptible to fraud, particularly if you had a plan or scheme that sounds eerily similar to what Joe Biden told us a few days before the election, that he had the best voter fraud team in the world.”
In late October, Biden said: “We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”
Biden defenders contend that the Democratic presidential nominee was talking about a voter protection program in his campaign, and that he misspoke.
Giuliani joked that it was a “Freudian slip,” and speculated that Biden was likely part of the fraud. He later backed away, saying he wasn’t sure what Biden is or isn’t aware of.
The former mayor suggested Biden’s assertion about the “most extensive” such operation in American history could have been an overstatement.
“Well, they were good,” Giuliani said. “I don’t know that they were that good, because they made significant mistakes like all crooks do, and we caught them.”
4. Electoral ‘Security Mechanism’
Jenna Ellis, the Trump campaign’s senior legal adviser, noted that based on the alleged conduct by election officials in cities such as Detroit and Philadelphia, “voter fraud” might not be the best term.
“When we talk about voter fraud, it’s actually election official fraud,” Ellis said. “That cannot stand. The Constitution requires that the state legislatures are the ones that make election law. What has happened in this case is that state- and local-level officials and all the way up have changed the rules. They want to tear down the American system.”
Ellis referred to Federalist 68, the founding document in which Alexander Hamilton explained the need for the Electoral College to prevent election of a president through corrupt means; Our Founders were so brilliant that they anticipated this, that there would be corruption, there would be foreign influence, there would be attempts to manipulate the outcome of the election—especially with who they called our chief magistrate. … We select our president through the Electoral College not because it disenfranchises voters, but because it is a security mechanism for the exact type of corruption that we are uncovering.A reporter asked: “Is the country on the verge of an electoral breakdown?”
Powell responded: “We’ve already had it.”
She provided some assurance that it’s not over, though.
“We have already had that electoral breakdown. But the Constitution, as Jenna explains, has provisions in it for how you fix this,” Powell said, referring to Ellis’ comment about the Electoral College.
5. Quoting ‘My Cousin Vinny’
In describing how Republican election observers in some cities were kept at too far a distance to watch the ballot counting, Giuliani referred to the 1992 film comedy “My Cousin Vinny” starring Joe Pesci as a hapless New York lawyer.
“Did you all watch ‘My Cousin Vinny?’ You know the movie? It’s one of my favorite law movies, because [Vinny] comes from Brooklyn,” Giuliani said.
The former mayor held up two fingers.
“When the nice lady says [what] she saw and he says to her, ‘How many fingers do I got up?’ She says, ‘Three.’ Well, she was too far away to see it was only two.”
Giuliani used the movie scene to capture the situation for election observers, who have the legal right to watch the counting process for mail-in ballots.
“These people were further away than ‘My Cousin Vinny’ was away from the witness. They couldn’t see a thing,” Giuliani said, adding:Now, I don’t know, are you going to tell me that 60 people are lying? They didn’t just tell me this. They swore under penalty of perjury, which is something no Democrat has ever done.
You don’t even ask Biden about this. Put him under penalty of perjury. He doesn’t even get asked questions about it. He doesn’t get asked questions about all the evidence of crimes he committed.
These people are under penalty of perjury. Their names are on an affidavit.Allowing election observers from both parties has been a long-standing rule, Giuliani noted.
“Why would you not allow people to carry out the function they’ve been allowed to do for 50 years, 60 years? Why wouldn’t you allow inspections of those ballots?” he said. “Because you knew you were going to use those ballots to catch Biden up and you had a big road ahead of you. You had to catch him up to 700,000 to 800,000 votes that he was behind. The only way you were going to do it were with the mail-in ballots.”
Beyond the issues raised by the Trump campaign’s legal team, many references on social media to Giuliani were about not only his movie reference but what appeared to be dark hair dye that ran down his face in two streams as he perspired during the press conference.
6. Scolding ‘Fake News’
Ellis aggressively went after reporters covering the press conference, accusing them of biased coverage and not understanding how legal proceedings work. More evidence will come forward in court, she said, and the team’s presentation was only like an “opening statement.”
“We go through a jury process. This is the court of public opinion right now,” Ellis said, adding:We are not trying our case in the court of public opinion because if we were, we would get unbiased jurors. I would strike 99% of you from the jury, and I would be allowed to because of the fake news coverage you provide. You are not unbiased jurors. She predicted that coverage of the press conference by the mainstream media would be dismissive, but said that reporters’ opinions don’t matter:The facts matter. The truth matters. If you are fair reporters, you will cover that fairly and appropriately and will allow coverage of our media team and our legal team. I can see you taking pictures and can anticipate what your headlines are going to be. If you are not willing to talk about the evidence that is being presented, then that is absolutely unacceptable for journalistic standards.------------------------ Fred Lucas is chief national affairs correspondent for The Daily Signal.Tags:Fred Lucas, The Daily Signal, 6 Big Claims, by Trump’s Lawyers, About Overturning, Election ResultsTo share or post to your site, click on "Post Link".
