A Blunt Assessment of the Virus Relief
by Tony Perkins: The streets are empty, but the Senate is full as members tackle another full day of debate over the government's coronavirus response. This morning, Democrats joined Republicans at the negotiating table, putting their heads together on what they hope will be the fastest and most effective way to stop the economic freefall. The goal? To reach an agreement before the end of the day.
With more experts trotting out dire new predictions about the economy, the clock is ticking. For days, senators have been racing to shore up businesses and families before the worst of the outbreak hits. President Trump signed the second aid package Thursday, leaving Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in charge of brokering a deal for the third wave. Everything is on the table -- from putting checks in the mail to Americans to bucking up flailing industries like the airlines.
"It's almost certain," Senator Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) told me Thursday on "Washington Watch," "that a substantial part of what we do for economic stimulus will be done through individuals and families. [We are] kind of the working assumption right now that about half of that trillion dollars would go directly to individuals who are parts of families that make less than, say, $75,000 per individual..." The idea is, he said, to get that money pumping back into the economy. "...[T]here are going to be lots of families that are going to have expenses they didn't anticipate because of lost work or additional child-care costs or additional cost of various kinds. And we intend to see that money out of Washington and in people's hands by the first few days of April, if we can get that done at all."
In Wednesday's bill, Blunt pointed out, the focus was keeping people on the payroll and making sure businesses could afford it. Now, moving into this bigger package, senators will be looking for ways "to create access to low-interest loans and other things." One of the silver linings here, Senator Blunt and I agreed, is that "unlike the 2008 effort to get the economy going again... there's nothing systematically wrong with this economy. What's wrong is that because of this virus, people have been encouraged to step back and not be part of the normal economy. And that is creating real, real problems. And we're going to try to do all we can to moderate those problems and get us to where, when we're a few weeks down the road -- maybe even two or three months down the road -- we're not that far from where we would have been if this crisis hadn't developed."

by Lloyd Marcus: A usually level-headed Christian conservative lashed out on Facebook, scolding everyone they thought was not taking the coronavirus seriously enough. Fake news media has successfully infected many with irrational fear.
Hearing Gov. Larry Hogan on my car radio announcing his executive order to close bars, restaurants, gyms, and theaters sounded like the script of a 1950s horror movie. “We will stop the spread of this deadly disease!” dramatically proclaimed Hogan. Little more than 100 have died in the U.S. and under 9,000 worldwide. According to the CDC, during the 2018-2019 flu season, an estimated 16.5 million people got sick and 34,000 died in the U.S.
When Hogan mentioned plans to restrict church gatherings, a chill went up my spine. In the United States of America, government is mandating that people not attend church. Wow!
CDC data confirms that the martial-law-light mandates steamrolling across America are disproportionate to the threat of the virus. Some governors and most corporations are responding to media-mob pressure to halt life in America. Others see an opportunity to land a death-blow to the Trump administration.
Insidiously ignoring the CDC’s no-need-to-panic-data, fake news media created and is gleefully fueling corona-madness. Using their huge bully pulpit, fake news media says anyone who dares to contradict their you’re-all-gonna-die narrative will be dragged into the high tech public square, stripped naked, branded an irresponsible idiot with a hot iron and their career will be canceled.
It is disturbing that there is practically zero pushback against governors instantaneously overruling our constitutional freedoms. Sadly, many youths are clueless regarding their constitutional freedoms. They grew up in public schools where progressive teachers taught them that the Constitution is an outdated piece of paper written by racist, sexist, homophobic, and Christian dead straight white men.
We have far too many Bernie Bro youths who say, “If the government is going to give me free stuff, I am down with whatever controls government deem necessary.”
A gentleman said this about Democrats/fake news media in an email, “…they are willing to destroy hard working people’s jobs to accomplish their power play.”This guy is spot on correct. This is why I regard Democrats’/fake news medias’ gleeful spread of corona-madness so loathsome and evil.
Democrats and fake news media are 100% committed to destroying Trump, their greatest Nemesis. Collapsing the U.S. economy and even the loss of American lives is acceptable collateral damage in their quest for power to control every aspect of our lives. They believe corona is their highly sought-after kryptonite to kill We-the-Peoples’ superman president.
A wise woman emailed me, “I think a lot of people are willing to do social distancing, etc., but they’re unwilling to live in perpetual fear.”I say, “Amen, sister.”
How long can fake news media/Democrats successfully keep Americans at a fever pitch level of irrational panic and fear? How long will U.S. businesses allow media to bully them into losing billions of dollars simply because they hate Trump? How long will it take Americans to say screw this nonsense, “I’m going out for a burger and a beer?” I believe there will be a tipping point when Americans say enough is enough, I’m going to resume my life.
My baby boomer generation is still the largest demographic. We know our constitutional rights and will fight for them. We will not go gentle into Democrats’ snap-of-their-fingers repeal of our constitutional freedoms intended to collapse our economy.
The simple truth is the coronavirus has had very little effect, causing around 125 deaths nationwide. What has caused the unprecedented closing down of America is media-hype about the coronavirus. We are suffering the consequences of deranged Democrats and fake news media willing to sacrifice everything to stop a president from implementing his America-first agenda.
Democrats and fake news media view the coronavirus as blood in the water to create a feeding frenzy of criticism of Trump.
Remarkably, every crazy, illegal, and evil scheme to remove Trump from the White House has failed. So will corona-madness. Why? Because God put Trump into the White House and only God will take him out.
Two buddies of mine said the hysteria is causing seniors in nursing homes to be isolated from visits by their loved ones. But Democrats/fake news media do not care. All they ever care about is furthering their socialist, communist, and progressive agendas and damaging Trump. Thank God Trump caught and denied Democrat Nancy Pelosi’s sneaky attempt to hide abortion funding in Trump’s corona relief spending.
In response to a 50-degree temperature day after people who have been cooped up in their homes because of a brutally cold winter, people rush outside wearing t-shirts and flip-flops. I believe Americans will eventually respond the same way, becoming emotionally burnt out over corona-madness. This will spark a huge economic boom.
Folks, the light I see at the end of the corona-madness tunnel is the strong will, spirit, and instincts of the American people. Without analyzing their feelings through a lens of political ideology, Americans will begin demanding to have their lives back: work, weddings, kid’s birthday parties, restaurants, and so on. We are Americans!
Trump is the perfect man in office when that day comes. He will gladly say, “I am with you folks. Let’s get back to keeping America great!”

by Lee Edwards: No one except the foolish or perhaps the suicidal would deny that the coronavirus has created a deadly crisis affecting every American. But it is in a time of crisis that Americans are at their very best.
America was born out of crisis. Taken for granted by an arrogant king, we fought and won a war of independence over the most powerful nation in the world—England.
Bitterly divided over the issue of slavery, we engaged in a bloody civil war from 1861-65 that preserved the union and banned slavery.
We were plunged into a Great Depression that lasted almost a decade from 1929-1938 and ended only when we went to war against Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany.
No sooner had we led the Allies to victory in World War II, than we were forced to assume the reins of leadership in a Cold War that lasted 40 years and took the lives of 93,000 Americans fighting in Korea and Vietnam.
We enjoyed a decade of normalcy in the ‘90s, but in 2001, radical Islamists flew hijacked jetliners into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, killing 3,000 innocent Americans.
Once again, we rose to the challenge and a wave of patriotism not seen since World War II swept the country. America was once again not red and blue, but a red, white, and blue nation.
We barely had caught our breath when the Great Recession of 2008-2009 hit, plunging us into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
Recovery took longer than the experts expected, but under President Donald Trump the economy grew, unemployment fell to a record low, and we looked forward to a lively presidential debate between two very different philosophies of government.
And then we plunged into crisis again—not by a war or a depression but by something invisible, a virus. What then are some of the lessons we can draw from past crises that can be applied today?
Leadership matters. Who can forget President George W. Bush standing at Ground Zero in New York City with a bullhorn and warning the terrorists there was nowhere they could hide?
Who can forget President Ronald Reagan striding down the aisle of Congress just six weeks after a man tried to assassinate him and challenging Congress to pass his economic recovery legislation?
We need inspiring leaders like Trump in the nation’s capital and in our state capitals and city halls today.
Community matters. The Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor and the terrorist attack on 9/11 brought us together and made possible our united response to our enemies. These were times when we put aside partisanship and politics as usual and united against a common enemy.
Truth matters. The mass media always has played an essential role in a time of crisis. This is especially true today when the truth can be so easily twisted and distorted by the omnipresent social media.
The mainstream media can prove its commitment to the truth by shooting down the vicious lies spread by Communist China that American soldiers brought the coronavirus to China last year.
We shall come through this crisis as we have other challenges in our 241-year history, following the example of leaders such as Reagan, who reminded us in his first inaugural address just what kind of people we are. The crisis we face, Reagan said, requires our willingness to believe in ourselves, “to believe that together, with God’s help, we can and will resolve the problems which now confront us. And after all, why shouldn’t we believe that? We are Americans.”

by Patrick J. Buchanan: Can mayors and governors of beach towns along the East Coast from Maine to Miami, and the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas, keep tens of millions from gathering on beaches this summer?
“It’s a war,” says President Donald Trump of his efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic, and likening his role to that of “wartime president.”
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo welcomed the president’s claim to his commander in chief role in the crisis and his resolve: “The president and I agreed yesterday… we’re fighting the same war — and this is a war.”
Some measures already taken do call to mind actions in wartime.
Commercial airline flights have been reduced or canceled. Schools have been closed. Universities have shut their doors.
Where Ford, Chrysler, GM and other great auto companies shifted production to jeeps, tanks and bombers in 1942, U.S. auto factories have today been shut down to prevent the spread of the virus.
Bars and restaurants are being closed.
This month, millions of Americans will be added to unemployment rolls, and millions of senior citizens and elderly have already followed government directives to “self-isolate” or “shelter in place.”
There is talk of quarantines lasting not days or weeks, as Americans knew in the days of measles, mumps, chickenpox, scarlet fever and polio, but months.
While a new social solidarity and spirit of self-sacrifice seem to be manifesting themselves in this pandemic, can it endure?
Is the country prepared for months, or years, of social isolation, if that is what is required to win this war?
It is a question that needs to be addressed.
Consider. The Chinese government, whose word is admittedly suspect, claims to have achieved a deceleration in the daily number of new coronavirus infections. The South Koreans say they, too, have broken and reversed the momentum of the spread of the virus.
On March 3, the number of new cases of the coronavirus reported across South Korea was 852. On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, exactly two weeks later, the count was 85 new cases, a plunge of 90%.
South Korea appears to have “flattened the curve.”
We Americans, however, are far from that.
Exactly how far behind South Korea we are cannot be known until more tens of thousands of Americans are tested, and we learn how many cases of the disease are out there undiscovered and unreported.
But whatever the success of Asian nations in containing the virus, are we politically and socially able to impose the same draconian measures?
Ordering people to “shelter in place” in their own homes, not just for days or weeks but months — can this be done in a free society, as it can be done in the surveillance state of Communist China?
Can mayors and governors of beach towns along the East Coast from Maine to Miami, and the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas, keep tens of millions from gathering on beaches this summer?
Last week, we saw college kids cavorting on Florida’s beaches, despite warnings that any one among them infected with COVID-19 could transmit it to the rest, leading to grave illness and, in some cases, death.
Moreover, they could become carriers of the disease to parents and siblings. They did not seem to care.
As Prohibition proved, Americans are a rule-breaking people.
Scores of thousands are injured in auto accidents and thousands killed each year from driving under the influence of alcohol, despite tough laws against drunk driving.
Since the 1960s, laws against the use of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, have not halted the rampant ingestion of illegal narcotics and dangerous drugs.
We are endlessly admonished that climate change poses an existential threat to the planet. But have the elites who profess to believe this given up flying in private jets? Have Americans given up their SUVs or ceased to heat their homes with oil and gas?
Are parents going to be able to confine to their homes children whose lives are built around friends on playgrounds? Is the crowd on Martha’s Vineyard going to give up socializing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus?
In the ’60s, we were told that the correlation between cigarette smoking and lung cancer, emphysema and heart disease, is absolute. Yet 34 million Americans continue to risk shortening their lives by smoking.
Seniors and elderly, among whom the mortality rate from the coronavirus is the highest — 15% of those over 80 in one estimate — may shelter in place for months.
But if, in diverse cities, minority communities come out for block parties in summer, are we going to have the police march them back into their homes? Do we have enough cops for that?
A prediction: The longer the orders to shelter in place and self-isolate remain in force, the greater the probability they will begin to be ignored and people will take the risks to end their isolation and be with friends.
Will Americans suffer in social isolation, inside their own homes for months, while a state-induced Great Depression washes over the land?
My guess is that many will rebel.

Time to Hold China Accountable for Unleashing Hell on the World
. . . Communist regime engaged in a massive cover-up -- exposing the world to global pandemic and economic meltdown.
by Ari Lieberman: Despite criticism from elements within the elitist establishment media and some radical progressives, President Donald Trump was correct to refer to the COVID-19 virus as a “foreign virus” or “Chinese virus.” Leading the charge of the president’s critics was none other than CNN’s Jim Acosta, who stated that reference to the virus as “foreign” may strike people as “xenophobic.”
In response, Fox’s Tucker Carlson accurately referred to Acosta as a “poisonous moron.” In fact, Carlson was being kind to Acosta, who works for an organization that has long abandoned actual journalism in favor of propaganda.
The Coronavirus, which has thus far killed at least 9,386 and infected 229,960 others, emerged from the city of Wuhan, which is the capital of Hubei province in the People's Republic of China. Chinese authorities were well aware that they had a pandemic on their hands way back in December but maliciously suppressed information about it. Significantly, The Times of UK, citing a respected and independent Chinese publication, reports that in December Chinese labs identified the pathogen that caused viral pneumonia in patients infected with the coronavirus disease and described the pathogen as highly infectious. A regional health official in Wuhan ordered the compiled samples and related research destroyed. Chinese authorities belatedly acknowledged the highly infectious nature of the disease in late January.
When news of the Wuhan virus began to surface through desperate and often disquieting social media posts, the communist regime of the People’s Republic did what it does best and silenced those responsible for the posts by making them disappear. Needless to say, the regime deactivated their social media accounts as well.
China’s leader Xi Jinping does not handle criticism well. The latest victim of China’s crackdown on information is Ren Zhiqiang, outspoken property tycoon and government critic. After publishing an essay critical of the government’s handling of the outbreak, Ren Zhiqiang disappeared and has not been heard or seen since.
Trump’s national security advisor, Robert O’Brien noted that the calculated Chinese cover-up cost the world two months. Early intervention by virology experts of the CDC could have thwarted an outbreak, or at least minimized it. Affected nations could have stopped flights to and from China earlier, limiting exposure.
In addition to lives lost and disrupted, the Chinese virus has already taken an incalculable toll on the world’s economies. The Stock Market is down by 25 percent. Retirees have watched helplessly as their retirement portfolios dwindle. The unemployment rate in the United States is expected to rise to 6 percent by mid-2021, up from its current 3.5 percent. Businesses are shuttering and bustling metropolitan cities like New York look like ghost towns. It’s almost apocalyptic in scope and scale.
All of this could have been avoided had China been more forthcoming about its Wuhan flu. But there’s more to this story than a mere Chinese cover-up.
There are two theories as to the origin of the Wuhan flu. The first, is that it originated at a Chinese wet market, where live animals like dogs, cats, snakes and Kuala bears are slaughtered in the most filthy and unsanitary conditions. These wet markets are breeding grounds for animal to human virus transmission, and Chinese authorities were well aware of the risks associated with such wet markets.
The second theory is that the virus emerged from a hazardous level 4 bio-weapons facility in Wuhan, located adjacent to the wet market. The virus managed to migrate from the lab, perhaps from an infected bat, to the wet market.
Chinese wet markets are controversial not only because animals in such markets are badly mistreated, but also because they represent a known biohazard to humans. The deadly H7N9 strain, which surfaced in 2013, was believed to have come from one of these Chinese wet markets. The Chinese SARS virus, which surfaced in 2002 also originated from one of these markets.
Yet despite the known hazards posed by these wet markets, Chinese authorities did little, if anything, to shut them down. The Chinese government did eventually shut down the Wuhan wet market but others throughout China, and parts of Asia still operate without regulation or safeguards.
Instead of accepting blame for unleashing hell on the world, the regime has opted to change the narrative, insinuating that the United States was responsible. On March 12, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian wrote on twitter, “When did patient zero begin in US? How many people are infected? What are the names of the hospitals? It might be US army [sic] who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make public your data! US owe [sic] us an explanation!” In this regard, the communist government of China is no different that the mullahs of the Islamic Republic, who blamed the coronavirus on America, the Zionists and the Jews.
A government-run Chinese paper also advocated that China halt export of needed medicines to the U.S. to combat COVID-19 in the hope of plunging the U.S. into "the mighty sea of coronavirus.". Over the years, pharmaceutical companies have opted to have their drugs manufactured in China because it’s cheaper. China now maintains a dominant position in the global supply chain for pharmaceuticals.
The West must make China pay dearly for its maleficence. As of December 2019, U.S. debt to China was $1.07 trillion. We can begin the process of just retribution and compensation there. We also have the option of imposing tariffs on China and earmark funds collected from those special tariffs to a selected account aimed at assisting those adversely affected by the Chinese coronavirus. Lastly, the United States must come to the realization that manufacturing jobs must be brought back to America’s shores and America must be restored to the manufacturing giant it once was.
For far too long, Democrats and even some Republicans took a soft approach on China, disregarding its abysmal human rights record, its theft of trade secrets and intellectual property, its unrestricted hacking activities, its illegal encroachment on the South and East China Seas and its attempts to undermine its democratic neighbors like Taiwan. Former Democratic candidate for president, Mike Bloomberg, even went so far as to deny that China was ruled by dictatorship. But the Wuhan virus has brought clarity to China’s malign activities. This is one thing that all Americans, Democrats and Republicans, should agree upon without equivocation.

More Major Actions, A Tale of Two War Rooms, Speaking Of Disturbing, Joe vs. The Times
Gary Bauer
by Gary Bauer:
President Trump announced today that he is ordering all non-essential travel at the southern border to shut down. A similar order was issued on the Canadian border earlier this week. The president took this action to "reduce the incentive for a mass global migration that would badly deplete" the U.S. healthcare system.
In addition, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has now delayed the tax filing deadline to July 15th, and the governors of California and New York issued executive orders closing more businesses and telling all residents to remain home.
A Tale Of Two War Rooms
Watching President Trump and Vice President Pence put together their war room of top medical experts along with leaders of corporate America to direct the battle against the coronavirus has been astonishing and inspirational. Every day they brief the American people at least once, often twice.
I can tell you from personal knowledge that this team at the White House, including the president and vice president, is working 18 to 20 hours a day. Please pray for them, for their health and for their families.
There is some indication that the American people, who have been deeply divided, are watching this and reevaluating their views of the administration.
For example, last month a Harris poll had the president's approval rating at 46%. A new Harris poll released today now finds his approval rating is 53%.
On the question of how Trump is handling the coronavirus emergency, 56% of Americans give the president a positive rating. Those saying they trust information from the White House is up to 61%.
An ABC News poll also finds similar results, showing that 55% of Americans approve of Trump's handling of the virus crisis.
Now today we're learning about a second war room set, this one set up by the left. Reading this, you might think, "Great! They are joining the battle against the virus, too." Sadly, you'd be wrong.
This war room has one purpose – to hurt the Trump/Pence Administration. It is staffed by former aides to Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton, and it is funded by so-called "dark money" that is difficult to trace.
They are getting together several times a day to plot attacks against whatever decisions the president makes. This group and allied organizations are running ads in five states – Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
I've been around Washington a long time, and I have seen a lot of examples of craven politics. But I've never seen anything quite like this.
These leftist hacks are standing on the corpses of fellow Americans in order get a better shot at Donald Trump, Mike Pence and others in the administration who are working nonstop, doing their best to save the country from a virus. It is disturbing and obscene.
Speaking Of Disturbing . . .
There was very disturbing news this morning about four U.S. senators – three Republicans and one Democrat. I'm not going to name them yet because we only have partial information, and I want a few questions answered so I don't inappropriately smear several senators.
Here's the gist of it: These senators reportedly got a briefing on the growing signs that the coronavirus was going to be a huge problem before the American people were fully informed. There's nothing wrong with that. They are policy makers and need to have all the information possible.
But here's the rub: These senators then reportedly unloaded millions of dollars of stock before the financial meltdown.
If the allegations as reported are true, it is morally despicable and possibly illegal. There are questions about whether these senators violated the STOCK Act, legislation passed in 2012 intended to prevent insider trading by members of Congress and other government officials.
I'll update you as we learn more.
Joe vs. The Times
MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, who was once a Republican but has turned into the worst type of leftist demagogue, had a rare moment of lucidity yesterday. Don't invest too much in the moment, I'm sure it will pass.
But I'm pleased to report that he was troubled by the clear trend of American media outlets eagerly accepting the word of the communist Chinese government over that of western governments, as well as the president and vice president of the United States.
In his remarks, Scarborough specifically called out the New York Times, the flagship of the American left. Here's some of what he said:
"Western media outlets have to be far more careful because I'm seeing a surge from The New York Times [and] other articles where they are literally taking the word of Chinese authorities despite what has happened over the past three months, despite the lying, despite the cover-ups, despite the destruction of records. . .
"I don't know exactly why they're doing it, but they're showing a hell of a lot more skepticism towards western governments right now, than they are towards the Chinese authorities that actually spread this through their cover-ups, through their lies. I don't understand it."
Well, I do, Joe, and it speaks volumes about the mindset of the American media that they trust Beijing's communists more than they trust the American president. This same media has been telling us for years that President Trump can't be trusted because he's a fascist and a Russian asset and an idiot and mentally unstable and fill in the blank.
The Chinese Communist Party lied repeatedly about the virus.
It harassed doctors who warned about the coming crisis, and accused them of lying.
It refused to share vital information, and made this crisis so much worse.
For all these reasons and more, I and other conservative leaders recently urged the administration to investigate China's responsibility for this outbreak.
By the way, China has imprisoned at least one million of its Muslim citizens in reeducation camps. Many are being pressed into forced labor. The rights of Muslims are usually a big priority to the left, but apparently not if you have to criticize communists.

Biden’s Memory Isn’t the Only Problem; It’s His Lies
by Larry Elder: The fact that former Vice President Joe Biden, now on his third try for the presidency, remains the last “moderate” standing says more about his now-vanquished rivals than about Biden. The same media that post running tabs on President Donald Trump’s “lies” ignore, downplay or otherwise dismiss Biden’s gaffes, memory lapses and frequent incoherence.
He’s Uncle Joe, the regular guy from Scranton, Pennsylvania, who understands the common man. So what if he says, without proof, that he worked to “desegregate restaurants and movie houses of Wilmington, Delaware”? So what if he says since 2007, “150 million people” — almost half of the U.S. population — “have been killed” due to gun violence?
So what if he boasts about his “arrest” in South Africa for supposedly attempting to visit Nelson Mandela, an effort Mandela allegedly later thanked Biden for attempting? Never mind that none of it is true — not the arrest, not the attempted visit and not the thank you from Mandela. According to the Daily Beast: “Biden finally admitted that the story was much different than he’d initially described, saying he told police while on a congressional delegation to South Africa that he was ‘not going to go in that door that says white only’ and separate from his black colleagues.” And so what if Biden, who voted for the Iraq War resolution and publicly accused Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein of possessing weapons of mass destruction, now claims he “didn’t believe (Saddam Hussein) had those weapons of mass destruction”?
More disturbingly, Biden lied on at least two occasions about a man named Curtis C. Dunn. Dunn was the tractor-trailer driver who, in 1972, tragically struck and killed Biden’s wife and his infant daughter. Along with many other news outlets, the Huffington Post, in 2008, described the accident this way: “Delaware’s Senator-elect would face a more difficult challenge soon after his election, when a drunk driver struck the car carrying his family, killing his wife Neilia and daughter Naomi and severely wounding sons Hunter and Beau.”
Based on Joe Biden’s account, the Huffington Post got it right. Dunn was driving drunk. After all, in a 2001 speech at the University of Delaware, Biden said, “An errant driver who stopped to drink instead of drive and hit — a tractor-trailer — hit my children and my wife and killed them.” But the then-Delaware prosecutor, now a judge, who investigated the accident says, “The rumor about alcohol being involved by either party, especially the truck driver (Dunn), is incorrect.” Furthermore, the tractor-trailer driver had the right of way, and Dunn immediately got out of his truck and tried to render assistance. He was no drunk driver.
Disturbed by Biden’s drunk-driver version of the accident, Pamela Hamill, Dunn’s daughter, wrote to Biden. The Newark Post wrote:
“In 2001, (Hamill) wrote a heartfelt letter to Biden expressing her father’s profound grief after hearing Biden make a post Sept. 11 speech in which he told the audience that, given his history, he could empathize with victims.
“‘Growing up, my dad never talked about it. He always got very solemn around Christmastime because the anniversary was Dec. 18, and he never wanted to celebrate the holidays,’ Hamill said. ‘When newspapers had anniversary articles (about the crash), we hid them from dad.’
“Biden responded in a handwritten note, which, in part, reads, ‘All that I can say is I am sorry for all of us and please know that neither I or my sons feel any animosity whatsoever.'”
Biden, it appears, got the message. Both families suffered a terrible tragedy. Why add to the pain by falsely portraying the remorseful Curtis Dunn as a drunk driver?
But a few years later, Biden did it again.
In a 2007 speech at the University of Iowa, Biden said: “Let me tell you a little story. I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly — and I never pursued it — drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries.”
In 2008, Hamill demanded that Biden make a public apology. Hearing nothing from Biden, she sent him a registered letter. The next year, after an accurate CBS television report on the accident, Hamill said she received a phone call from Biden. Hamill told Politico: “He apologized for hurting my family in any way. So we accepted that — and kind of end of story from there.”
Joe’s calling card is decency, an affable man without a malicious bone in his body. Yet he allowed Dunn, who died in 1999, to go to his grave having been falsely shamed by Biden as a drunk driver responsible for the death of Biden’s wife and newborn daughter. What “decent” man does that?

by Stephen Kruiser: Where Is Your God Now
As we go through all of this END TIMES apocalypse fun, it’s good to look at things that aren’t oh-so awful. Our good friends at Walmart Inc. are helping us through the storm in a couple of ways.
Walmart has long been the whipping boy of liberals, derided for both its sheer capitalist success and the fact that the company serves so many rural Americans.
In short: Walmart is an effete liberal’s nightmare.
The company that the worst people in America love to hate just did a couple of things that prove them wrong.
In the same announcement, the company said it would pay out almost $550 million in bonuses to hourly employees.
The Big Bad Capitalist Behemoth that has long been derided for making too much money now has the money to help people in a time of true crisis.
There is a lesson to be learned here, but we know that the people who need to learn it won’t. Just yet, anyway.
This may be the tipping point.
Before anyone gets too crazy in the comments, let me say I don’t really believe that. I’m just saying that if it ever were going to happen, this would be the thing that does it.
But it won’t.
God Save the Truckers Megan wrote here about Pennsylvania shutting down rest areas where truckers stop and sleep, which is an awful precedent. Grocery chains throughout America have assured us that the supply chain is solid, even during THE PANIC. That supply chain breaks down completely if we begin disrupting the trucking industry. If there ever were a need for emergency funding, whatever it takes to keep truckers on the road should be it.

'Tens of Thousands' of Guard Personnel to Be Called Up in Coronavirus Response
Florida National Guard - 124th Infantry Regiment, reviews the scripting process with medics at a COVID-19 Community Based Testing Site, March 19, 2020
by Matthew Cox: As novel coronavirus cases rise, some 2,050 citizen soldiers and airmen have been activated by state governors, and that number will likely double by the weekend, the head of the National Guard Bureau told defense reporters at the Pentagon on Thursday.
Air Force Gen. Joseph Lengyel said he expects tens of thousands of Guardsmen to be called up over the coming weeks.
Governors in 27 states have activated parts of their National Guard units to counter the effects of the contagious virus, known as COVID-19, with medical testing, transportation, logistics support and, potentially, law enforcement responsibilities, he said.
"It's hard to tell what the exact requirement will be," Lengyel added, "but I am expecting tens of thousands [of Guard members] to be used inside the states as this grows, and I think states have the capacity to do those kinds of things."
Lengyel described the pandemic as a "historic event unlike any we have faced in recent years."
"When there is a hurricane, you can see it on a map; you have a sense of how hard the storm will hit and how long the story will last," he said. "With COVID-19, it's like we have 54 separate hurricanes, [one] in every state, territory and the District of Columbia."
But for now, there is no plan to federalize Guard personnel on active-duty status, he stressed to reporters.
If President Trump "wanted to mobilize the National Guard under Title 10 federal status, he could do that," Lengyel said. "But that would not make sense in this situation. The best use of the National Guard is to use the National Guard for the unique authorities that it has, and that is to remain under the command and control of the networks within the states.
"If you mobilize all of the National Guard, it's going to cost billions and billions and billions of dollars, and a lot of people won't have things to do," he said. "There is no need right now to have 450,000 Guardsmen on duty."
The Guard is "uniquely qualified and postured to act under the command and control of the governors in the states and so, if you were to federalize them, you would lose that ability," Lengyel added.
He cited the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which prohibits active-duty military personnel from being used as law enforcement.
"If you keep the National Guard under the command and control of their governor, in what we call Title 32 or state active-duty status, they have additional authorities that can assist law enforcement," Lengyel said. "If you were to federalize the National Guard, then you would lose that ability."
If the situation requires it, governors can order the Guard to assist with police patrols and enforce laws -- "anything that the law enforcement capacity normally does, they could be augmented with National Guard troops," he explained.
"Do I see it happening now? I don't see any demand signal that's demanding that we are going to use the National Guard in that kind of scenario, but they could," Lengyel said. "Governors could under the command and control of law enforcement in their states, they could use their National Guard."

Euthanasia Clinic That Killed 898 Patients Last Year Shuts Down Amid Coronavirus Crisis
by Alex Schadenberg: The Netherlands euthanasia clinic has temporarily shut-down amid the Coronavirus crisis. This is the euthanasia clinic that reported euthanasia requests, in 2019, were up by 22% and euthanasia deaths increased to 898 from 727 in 2018. This is also the euthanasia clinic that specializes in euthanasia for psychiatric reasons and euthanasia for people with dementia or questionable competency.
The Corona crisis also affects the assistance of the Euthanasia Expertise Center. In the interest of public health, our patients, their loved ones and employees of the expertise center, it is no longer responsible to continue our current care provision.
Euthanasia expertise center temporarily will not accept new patients; clients are requested to submit their request at a later date. In addition, the care for current patients of the Euthanasia Expertise Center is suspended. Existing processes are put on hold and resumed at a later date. If euthanasia has already been agreed or promised, euthanasia can continue on condition that the group of attendees is limited to those who are absolutely necessary. Urgent case histories of current patients from the center of expertise are also dealt with, as long as a doctor and nurse are available for this. This concerns case histories of terminal patients or patients where there is an important risk that the ability to exercise will be compromised.
Unavoidable
Helping people, especially patients who turn to us in extreme need, is in the DNA of the doctors and nurses of the Euthanasia Expertise Center. The above measures are difficult for the employees. However, special circumstances force us to take these inevitable steps. However harsh: euthanasia care cannot be identified as a top priority in health care. The risk of infection is high and the expertise center employs ambulatory doctors and nurses who also work elsewhere. For example, they are general practitioners or work in the intensive care unit of a hospital. Other healthcare providers are retired and themselves fall under the definition of the group of “vulnerable”.
Euthanasia consultants
The measures apply until April 6. The government’s date is leading for the Euthanasia Expertise Center. Our euthanasia consultants continue to provide (general practitioner) doctors in the Netherlands with telephone support.EPC has not obtained the 2019 Netherlands euthanasia report, but the 2018 Netherlands euthanasia report indicated that euthanasia had slightly dropped in 2018, likely because of the court case related to the incompetent woman who died by euthanasia, even though she had resisted.
In the Netherlands there were 6126 reported euthanasia deaths in 2018. In 2018, the statistics included a new category where 205 people died by euthanasia based on: multiple problems derived from the aging process. I consider this category as an acceptance, in part, of euthanasia for “completed life“.

by Paul Jacob, Contributing Author: “Our political system, our way of life, our Constitution cannot be let go,” the Libertarian Party’s Nicholas Sarwark argued on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, “just because there is a terrible illness spreading through the country.”
His concern? Libertarians — and Greens and other parties or independent candidates — must still gather hundreds of thousands of voter signatures to put their candidates on state ballots this November.
And so, too, must citizen-initiated ballot measures.
But who wants to petition into a deadly pandemic? Supposing you carefully made a grocery run, would you stop to chat with petitioners and grab their pen to sign?
“That would be a public health nightmare,” explained Sarwark, “to force petitioners to go out with clipboards and gather signatures.”
Libertarians are asking governors “to suspend these requirements that would endanger the public.”
Cogent points, but I’m not so sure governors have lawful power to order candidates or initiatives onto the ballot.
Much less the inclination.
Legislatures could act . . . but why help competing candidates gain access to the ballot?
And as for green-lighting issues that haven’t gone through their sausage-maker?
Puh-leeze.
Back in 2010, the Utah Supreme Court ruled that electronic signatures were legally valid. Rather than facilitate that process, the state legislature quickly banned it.
But it is the obvious solution: allow voters to sign petitions online for candidates or ballot initiatives.*
“The law has long recognized electronic signatures as legally effective where hand-signed signatures are required,” contends Barry Statford in a law review article. “As early as 1869, the New Hampshire Supreme Court acknowledged the validity of a contract accepted by telegraph.”
The courts should mandate state acceptance of electronic signatures.
Let’s sue.
This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob.
* Voters in Boulder, Colorado, passed an initiative allowing electronic signatures in 2018.

by Mario Murillo Ministries: California’s Governor Gavin Newsom just tonight predicted that 56% of all Californians will be infected by the coronavirus. He just projected a humanitarian disaster beyond imagination, in the last place on earth you would ever expect it. But, if you don’t believe him or the leftist media, I don’t blame you: they have told so very many lies.
But we cannot deny our lives have been disrupted to an extreme that we have not experienced since the Second World War.
Suddenly, we have been plunged into a world that we had previously only seen in disaster movies. All the professional sports that most Americans worship are gone. California’s children will stay home probably until the fall. Las Vegas has been shut down. Sin City’s credo was, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” but now it’s, “Nothing is happening here.”
We have no idea what will ultimately happen to our economy. We are huddled in our homes trying to figure out the best way to ride this out—hoping the doomsday voices are wrong.
What bothers me the most is the behavior of so-called Christians on social media. I have never seen so much self-promotion. Videos infest the internet with “words from God.” Some say this will turn out to be nothing. Others tell us it is the end. They gargle with gunpowder and then shoot their mouths off. They dispense silliness in the name of God. All they really crave is attention. You should document their predictions and hold them accountable for false prophecy when this is all over.
There is only one reason I am writing this and there is only one group I am writing it to. I am writing this to you because God has done an epic miracle in my soul, and this is a message for the remnant of God who have been hidden until this very moment. They are in this crisis by design. They are in for an amazing surprise.
This is not for the carnal Christian. If that’s you, you still need one more lap around reality before you will have a heart for the Glory that God will reveal in His core believers. So here goes…a message to God’s hidden people who are groping for answers for what to do during this quarantine and pandemic.
Like you, I had to deal with the sudden and shocking change brought about by the coronavirus quarantine. There are many who are going through things far worse than I am. But what I went through was still pretty bad.
A week ago, I felt as if I had lost everything. The coronavirus scare closed down our tent crusades. For me and for our team it is a devastating loss. I am not exaggerating: I truly collapsed before God from sheer sorrow
Out of it, God led me to nine words that David spoke. He said nine words that tell the prophetic core exactly what to do in this crisis. I present to you what every pastor, leader, business person, parent, and young person who is under a heavy call of God needs to do right now.
You will find the answer in the 30th chapter of 1 Samuel. When David lost everything and his men were ready to stone him, he did something remarkable. The Bible says, “He encouraged himself in the Lord.” That is amazing enough, but it’s what he did next that’s even more amazing.
To get anything out of these words, you must first grasp the utter despair that David felt before he spoke them. Remember, David was a man who had been anointed and over whom prophecy had been spoken that he would be King, but in an instant, he became as poor as a slave.< Here’s the picture: 1 Samuel 30:3 “So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.” Filled with despair, David’s own men were about to kill him. The nine words I am going to show you were the greatest psalm David ever spoke. In this ‘accidental psalm,’ David glorified God like he had never glorified God before. Here are the nine words: “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?”
Don’t let their simplicity fool you! David glorified God in what he did not say, as much as in what he did say. Even though he felt rage and grief he did not insult God’s character. He did not rail against his circumstances. David did not sin with his mouth. There was no, “Why did you let this happen to me?” Or, “How can I trust you when you can’t even protect my family?”David was practicing what he preached in Psalm 19:9, “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. From David’s example, I knew better than to waste valuable time rehearsing the disastrous effects of the coronavirus on our ministry. I needed something else. And so do you. David did not torture himself by dwelling on why it had gotten so bad. He knew the goodness, mercy and wisdom of God. He didn’t even ask for comfort. Think of that!
No, he knew he needed to ask for something else. Can you guess what that is? He needed direction. DIRECTION! And that, my friend, is what you need most.
Take Mario Murillo Ministries for an example. We are in deep prayer about what to do next. My concern is not the tent crusades. When the lock down is lifted we will be ready. We will move with all the force of the pent up zeal and fire in our bones!
No, my real concern is what God would have us do in the meantime. Somehow, I believe God is about to reveal to us an amazing method and an idea that will launch us to harvest souls in a way we never imagined.
Yes, in the natural, this is a terrifying situation. Cities have shut down. Businesses are being destroyed, and people are dying. Still, nothing could be worse than wringing our hands and wallowing in vain imaginations about why this happened, and what may happen next.
The Holy Spirit is waiting to give us marching orders. He wants to give us the wisdom necessary to not only stay safe, but to exploit this crisis for the Glory of God.
God answered David and gave him a promise: “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all” (1 Samuel 30:8).
That was all David needed to launch out and go attack the enemy. He didn’t know how it would happen but he did not let his men slow him down. He ordered them to mount up and ride! When his men saw David on his horse, it reminded them of all the past victories that came from following David into battle.
David sat high and looked at them with a look that spoke volumes, it said, in essence, “Do want to kill me or do you want to get your wife and kids back?” They followed David, rode after the enemy, miraculously found them, and got back everything and more besides.
You need to talk to your soul and ask yourself, “Do you want sit here paralyzed by fear or do you want to get up and follow God into total restoration of everything the devil has stolen?”
As far as Mario Murillo Ministries is concerned we will win souls! No matter what. I solemnly promise you that the enemy will pay. This crisis will not lessen our soul winning—in the end it will increase it!
This is what Paul said in Philippians 1:12-14, “I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment here has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the Message has actually prospered.”
We all need to follow David’s example to get two things: direction and a promise. You will learn how to suppress fear and confusion. You will have no doubt that God is with you and your loved ones, to protect and provide.
You will realize that you have been secretly undergoing preparation for this very moment. Expect to hear from Jesus! Expect to know exactly what to do and how to do it.
This virus is going to pass. But the damage we will live with if we give in to fear and hesitation will not go away. You will look back on this for the rest of your life and thank God you did not give in to fear or disobey the deep work of the Holy SpiritAll it took in David’s case was nine simple words, and an impossible situation was turned into an epic victory: and the body of Christ in America is also going to experience another epic victory!
