The Russians Are Coming, Look At His Policies, The Left Is Helping Russia
Gary Bauer
by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author: "The Russians Are Coming!"
Last night, all the evening news broadcasts led with the same story – Russia is meddling in the 2020 elections to reelect Donald Trump. Here we go again.
Evidently, the House Intelligence Committee, led by Rep. Adam Schiff, got a classified briefing about Russian interference in the 2020 election. Sure enough, someone leaked details of the briefing to the New York Times. Any guesses as to who leaked?
Curiously, the briefing took place last week, but we didn't hear about it until yesterday when polls showed Trump's ratings were up. What an odd coincidence.
Predictably, Democrats are claiming that this news justifies their impeachment efforts. As you no doubt recall, Pelosi and Schiff repeatedly said, "We can't wait until the election. He's already working with Russia to steal 2020." This is nonsense.
Let's go back to the 2016 election. It was not stolen. Period. President Obama assured us that the elections could not be rigged, and we were later told that no votes were altered.
Russia spent $1.25 million a month on social media. In contrast, the Trump and Clinton campaigns spent over a $1 billion. But we're supposed to believe that Russia's "drop in the bucket" made all the difference.
And what magical thing did Russia do with that money? It ran memes like this one: "Hillary is a Satan, and her crimes and lies had proved just how evil she is."
If Hillary's 30+ years in public life hadn't already convinced anyone that she was bad news, surely no internet ad would. To believe the miniscule Russian ads cost Hillary the election is delusional.
Here's more proof that Russia wasn't helping Trump: After the election, Russia sponsored anti-Trump demonstrations all over the country with the theme "Not My President." Michael Moore and thousands of other leftists poured into a New York rally that was "sponsored" by Vladimir Putin. They were what the Soviets used to call "useful idiots."
Unfortunately, the real Russian interference is working. Russia is trying to sow chaos and discord. It is trying to create a pre-Civil War atmosphere in America by making half the country doubt our elections and the legitimacy of our president.
Sadly, the left and its media allies are playing right into Putin's hands.
Look At His Policies
The idea that Russia prefers America First Trump over Comrade Sanders, who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, is laughable. Just compare the president's policies to those any Democrat president would follow.
Trump has massively increased defense spending. Every Democrat candidate wants to cut it.
Trump's major theme is that America was great, is great and he wants to make it even greater.
The Democrat Party base believes America was evil, is evil and has done nothing but oppress people all over the world.
Iran is a major Russian ally. Trump got us out of Obama's nuclear deal with Iran. Trump's sanctions are crushing Iran's economy, and he took out Qassem Soleimani, who regularly went to Russia to meet with Putin.
Trump's policies have made us the leading energy producer in the world, devastating Russia's budget. Every Democrat wants to ban fracking and gut the American energy industry.
Trump gave Ukraine lethal weapons that Barack Obama never would.
No One Is Infallible
God bless the men and women who work in our intelligence agencies. They have protected us from many horrors over the decades. They have also been horribly wrong on many occasions.
As we have also seen, the previous administration appears to have weaponized parts of the intelligence community against the president and those who voted for him.
CIA Director George Tenet, a Clinton holdover, told President George W. Bush that the intelligence regarding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was a "slam dunk." We never found them.
Before that, the intelligence community largely missed the attack on 9/11. With all our best capabilities, we did not see the worst attack on our soil since Pearl Harbor coming our way.
The CIA consistently underestimated the Iranian nuclear program. If it wasn't for Israeli intelligence, President Trump would not know the true extent of Iran's cheating.
Just a few months ago, China celebrated the 70th anniversary of the communist takeover of the country. They had a huge military parade in Beijing. U.S. military experts were stunned by what they saw. One official said in response, "We're no longer in a period of overwhelming American dominance." How did our intelligence agencies miss that?
My point is simply this: Our intelligences agencies are vital, but they are not infallible.
I believe there are ideologues in those agencies who are being intentionally obtuse in their interpretations of the intelligence. Russia doesn't care who is elected. Putin is simply trying to damage America with the false narrative that he is deciding our elections.
By the way, there's not enough space here to remind you of how often over the decades Russia and other nations have managed to infiltrate our intelligence agencies, including at the highest levels.
The Left Is Helping Russia
If you were so filled with anti-American vitriol and wanted to undermine confidence in our constitutional republic, what would you do? Well, you would plant seeds of doubt about America's basic goodness and institutions.
You would start a narrative that America was founded in 1619, when the first slaves arrived, and not 1776. You would say that America was evil from the start because of slavery.
You would tell the country that the Electoral College was created to suppress minority voters so that America could be ruled by white, rural counties.
You would spread the outrageous lie that our Constitution thought blacks were only partial human beings.
You would tell the country that the Supreme Court, which for decades has done the left's bidding, is now an illegitimate organization controlled by the radical right, corporate interests and two justices who harassed women.
You would get multiple states to refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement agencies trying to remove criminal illegal aliens.
You would constantly berate law enforcement, and praise extremists like Colin Kaepernick.
You would tell America's youth that free market capitalism is inherently corrupt and Jesus was really a socialist.
In short, if you wanted to undermine the America experiment, you would do what the left is doing every day.
Speaking of 1619. . .
As we've told you, the New York Times has a special project that is being accepted into schools all over the country. It teaches that America was founded in 1619 with the introduction of slavery, and not that the end of slavery began with the beginning of America thanks to the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence.
When New York Times isn't busy demonizing our founding, what else is it doing? Well, today's front page of America's "Paper of Record" is filled with the false narrative that Russia is stealing the 2020 election.
Further in you'll discover that the "Gray Lady," as the Times is often called, gave over the editorial page to the Taliban.
Sirajuddin Haqqani, a Taliban leader, who has a $10 million bounty on his head and is responsible for the murder of many Americans and countless Afghanis, is being allowed by the left's flagship newspaper to tell us what his demands are.
That's what New Yorkers read this morning in the city that was attacked on 9/11 because the Taliban allowed Al Qaeda to plot the attacks in Afghanistan.
But according to the left the real threat to America is Donald Trump and Mike Pence.\

Massachusetts City Will Allow Illegal Aliens to Drive Without a License
by Jason Hopkins: City councilors in Cambridge, Massachusetts, voted to prohibit police officers from arresting illegal aliens if they are caught operating a vehicle without a license.
Under a newly passed city ordinance in Cambridge, residents are still legally required to carry a driver’s license if they are operating a vehicle, but local law enforcement has been ordered not to arrest illegal aliens caught driving without identification, Boston 25 News first reported.
The city ordinance, ordained Feb. 10, marks what appears to be the most lenient policy for illegal immigrants and roadway rules.
The city councillors who passed the ordinance say it’s necessary given increased immigration enforcement emanating from the White House.
“We need to protect our community members from a federal government that’s out of control,” Cambridge City Councilor Quinton Zondervan said of the rule. “There are no other reasons for the police to arrest someone, give them a court summons instead, which keeps them out of the clutches of the Trump administration.”
Known as the Welcoming City Ordinance, the rule spells out what is expected of law enforcement if they encounter an illegal alien operating a vehicle.
“When taking action against a person who is found to be driving without a valid driver’s license, officers of the Cambridge Police Department shall, whenever possible in the officer’s discretion and if there are no other violations causing the person to be arrested, issue a summons to court instead of taking the person into custody,” text of the ordinance read.
“In such circumstances, the law enforcement officer taking action shall endeavor to provide the driver a reasonable opportunity to arrange for a properly licensed operator to drive the vehicle before seeking to impound the vehicle, unless the violation is one subject to a statutory or regulatory requirement of vehicle impoundment,” the ordinance continued.
The Welcoming City Ordinance is not limited to roadways, but also forbids law enforcement from inquiring about an individual’s immigration status, and restricts information sharing and cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
A growing number of states have implemented laws allowing illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses. New York and New Jersey, for example, recently passed laws that allow illegal aliens to earn a license. However, the ordinance in Cambridge takes the unprecedented step of allowing individuals to operate a vehicle without identification entirely.
Illegal aliens caught driving without a license in the city could still be arrested, but only if there are other circumstances beyond a lack of identification.
The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to the Cambridge Police Department for comment about the law, but no response was immediately provided.

by Newt Gingrich: The amazingly combative – and perhaps personally destructive — debate in Nevada produced two winners and a big loser.
The biggest winner was President Donald Trump.
There is a huge stature gap between the president’s recent speeches and rallies and the petty bickering and bitter attacks on the debate stage. It will be easy for voters to differentiate the powerful incumbent and the confused, tiny opponents yammering in the background. Also, when Mayor Mike Bloomberg announced that Bernie Sanders would be a disaster in the general election, he gave the Trump re-election campaign a perfect ad for this fall if Sanders is the nominee.
Every time the Democrats describe their more radical positions, they further isolate themselves from the independent voters and moderate Democrats they need to win. When they support gun confiscation, extremely late abortion, massive tax increases, taking away people’s private health insurance, the Pete Buttigieg proposal to legalize heroin and methamphetamine, and Iranian terrorist commanders (over brave American soldiers), they lose more and more rational Americans. The more you listen to the Democratic presidential candidates; you realize just how radical they have become. Real moderates have been driven from leadership positions and only exist on the sidelines as fossilized reminders of the Democratic Party that used to exist. I’m not alone in this assessment. Several Democratic analysts watching the mess on stage said the big winner was President Trump – they were right. The Democrats’ radicalization will be a huge help to Leader Kevin McCarthy and Republicans, who are aggressively seeking to take back the House in 2020.
The second big winner was Sanders. Senator Sanders entered last night having won more votes in Iowa than anyone else (a fluke in the weird way Iowa counts delegates allowed Buttigieg to claim more state level delegates, but the fact is Sanders got more votes). Sanders came in first in New Hampshire. Given the size of the crowds he is getting – and the recent polls – there is a good chance Sanders will win Nevada.
The next major test for Sanders will be South Carolina, and the most recent polls show him within two points of Joe Biden as the front runner. Since South Carolina is Biden’s supposed firewall, where his support from African Americans is going to keep him in the race, it will be a catastrophic outcome for the former vice president if he finishes only one or two points ahead of Sanders. And, since there is plenty of time for people to digest the Nevada results, it is conceivable that a Sanders victory there will propel Sanders to a victory in South Carolina over Biden.
Further, if Sanders wins Nevada, his front runner status will be so formidable that the other candidates may have to shift their attacks from Bloomberg to Sanders in the debate between Nevada and South Carolina.
This position of strength means you have to score Sanders as the other winner. Other than Bloomberg asserting that Sanders can’t win, no one really laid a glove on him. The intensely personal Buttigieg-Amy Klobuchar exchange weakened both of them. By definition, this helped Sanders. Every time Elizabeth Warren hammered Bloomberg; Sanders must have been smiling to himself. As a seasoned veteran, Bernie must have stood there and watched in amazement as his competitors gave him a pass and fought each other.
So, if the President and the Socialist had a good night, who was the big loser?
Well, Bloomberg was the most battered. Klobuchar and Buttigieg were the most childish. Warren was the most effective as the rage candidate, but she was ineffective at drawing votes to herself (rage drives people away, it doesn’t attract them). And Biden had a decent but inadequate night.
Clearly the big loser was the Democratic Party.
Coming after the absurdity of the Iowa caucus meltdown – and with warnings that Nevada may also have counting problems – the Democrats do not need to look incompetent or deeply divided. Yet, incompetent division is exactly what came out of the Nevada debate.
The simple fact is: There is a deep division between the Socialist-radical wing of the Democratic Party (Sanders and Warren) and the Capitalist-radical wing of the Democratic Party (everyone else). It is a falsehood for the national media to suggest that any of the Democratic presidential candidates are moderates. They all espouse positions that are opposed by a substantial majority of Americans. They all represent an elite leftwing cultural view which believes America is a bad country of ignorant “deplorables.” So, they all believe their mission is to use government to profoundly change America – even if it is against the wishes of many millions of Americans.
At the same time, this radical Democratic Party proved last night that it has no coherent policy for creating jobs, solving problems, or defending America.
This is why the Democratic Party was the big loser.

by Patrick Buchanan: Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Vice President Biden are being told that if they do not get out of the race and clear the lane for the mayor, they will get a socialist as their nominee, and the party will deserve the fate November will bring — a second term for Trump.
Wednesday night in Las Vegas, Mayor Mike Bloomberg learned what it is like to be thrown up against a wall and frisked.
At the opening of the Democratic debate, his first, Mayor Mike was greeted by his nearest neighbor on stage, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, with this warm welcome:
“We’re running against … a billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians.’ And, no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.”
Bloomberg was not only charged with misogyny and sexism but racism for his stop-and-frisk policy, which the NYPD pursued during his three terms as mayor. By Bloomberg’s own admission, stop and frisk singled out black men between 16 and 25.
Undiscussed were the positive results of the policy.
Gun homicides in New York fell to levels below those attained by his predecessor, Rudy Giuliani. And if those most often frisked were black and Hispanic men, the lives saved and the woundings prevented were also mostly those of people of color.
Yet, a question that remains after this debate was one that was puzzling even before the debate.
Why did he do it? Why did Bloomberg, who is not on the Nevada or South Carolina ballot, decide to join the debates before these contests?
Today, the mayor’s campaign is probably buying tens of millions of dollars in ads to undo the damage done to him under the remorseless fire on his character, campaign and record from his rivals Wednesday night.
These attacks were predictable and predicted. Why did he submit to this? Who counseled Bloomberg to climb into the ring?
By investing $350 million in ads in primary states since November and crafting scheduled appearances while avoiding adversarial talk shows and candidate debates, Bloomberg had propelled himself from nowhere into the top tier of candidates in every state on Super Tuesday.
Why did he abandon a winning strategy to walk out, unprepared, onto a stage full of enraged and exasperated rivals who think he is buying and stealing a nomination for which they have fought for a year?
Why did he volunteer to enter a forum where he had to know his rivals would become a flash mob before he answered his first question? This was campaign malpractice of historic dimensions.
It is going to take hundreds of millions of dollars in new ads to undo the damage done to Bloomberg’s reputation among the millions of voters who got their first impression of the mayor from the debate.
Where does the race stand before Saturday’s caucuses in Nevada?
Sen. Bernie Sanders, his energy restored after his heart attack a few months back, his lines honed by a year’s repetition, was at the top of his game Wednesday night, fending off attacks and fighting back with a passion and ferocity that Bloomberg never exhibited.
With his popular vote victories in Iowa and New Hampshire, five national polls showing him taking the lead from Joe Biden, and contributions pouring in from his huge army of small donors, Sanders is the favorite to win in Nevada and man to stop.
But after Super Tuesday, March 3, he may be unstoppable.
A new Washington Post poll Wednesday shows Sanders with a huge lead among young voters and in a statistical tie with Joe Biden among African Americans. And he is flush with cash.
March 4 could see Sanders with an almost insurmountable lead that could have him enter the Milwaukee convention with a majority of delegates or a plurality so huge as to make it politically impossible for his adversaries to gang up on him and take the nomination away.
For who would be the beneficiary of such a robbery on the convention floor? The same Bloomberg his rivals described Wednesday night as a misogynist, sexist and racist.
Bloomberg’s campaign is sounding the alarm that Sanders could soon amass an insurmountable delegate lead if the Democratic field stays split, and is urging the other candidates to drop out.
Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Vice President Biden are being told that if they do not get out of the race and clear the lane for the mayor, they will get a socialist as their nominee, and the party will deserve the fate November will bring — a second term for Trump.
Bloomberg’s strategist Kevin Sheekey was pointedly warned by staffers on Thursday:
“If Biden, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar remain in the race despite having no path to appreciably collecting delegates on Super Tuesday (and beyond), they will propel Sanders to a seemingly insurmountable delegate lead by siphoning votes away from (Bloomberg).”
As the other candidates cannot beat Sanders, Bloomberg’s campaign is saying, they should step aside and clear the field for Mayor Mike. This would call for a spirit of self-sacrifice and measure of esteem for the mayor not evident on that stage Wednesday night.

Local Newspapers Are Dying Because They Don’t Represent America
. . . 62 million Americans voted for Trump, only 6 newspapers endorsed him.
by Daniel Greenfield: Warren Buffett started the year by dumping his portfolio of 30 newspapers in a fire sale. After having spent $344 million on a stable of local papers including the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the Buffalo News, and the Omaha World-Herald, the Oracle of Omaha had to let them go for a mere $140 million.
“They’re going to disappear,” Buffett said of the papers. “It went from monopoly to franchise to competitive to ... toast.”
In February, McClatchy, the country's second largest local newspaper chain, the owners of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Miami Herald, the Kansas City Star, the News & Observer, the State and many other major local papers, filed for bankruptcy.
We’re barely into 2020 and the apocalypse which wiped out 7,800 media jobs in 2019 is speeding on. That was down from the 15,000 media jobs lost in 2018, but only because it’s hard to cut jobs that don’t exist anymore. By the end of the decade, there will be no local newspapers. Only a few national ones.
The internet is certainly to blame, but digital media took nearly as bad a beating as dead tree media with the Gawker relaunch, the Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, and many other lefty digital darlings bleeding.
On CNN, the Miami Herald's Julie Brown claimed that the lack of local newspapers, "has contributed to the divisions that we're experiencing around the country."
The media has been making similar claims for a year now based on a dubious study. But the problem with the papers in the McClatchy, Gannett, Tribune, or other media stables is that they’re echoes of the same national agenda repackaged for a local audience. In the age of the internet, readers are cutting out the middleman and watching CNN or MSNBC, or reading the New York Times and the Washington Post.
Who needs a third-rate local lefty version when you can just buy access to the real lefty thing?
Local papers aren’t really local. They’re investments owned by lefty tycoons like Warren Buffett. As the investments become hopeless, they’re turning into non-profits owned by lefty tycoons like Jeff Bezos. If the local paper is just going to consist of recycled talking points from the Washington Post or the New York Times, then who needs the “local” paper? Local communities don’t. That’s why they’re dying.
The local newspaper is dead. The national media writing its eulogies long ago fired the fatal shot.
What local media markets are really missing is diversity. Vital media markets used to have dueling papers. There are fewer dueling papers and even fewer conservative ones. Of the 100 largest papers in the country, only 2 endorsed Trump in 2016. Only 6 papers endorsed Trump across the country.
It’s telling that “local” newspapers wouldn’t support a candidate that local communities voted for.
How representative are local papers when 62 million people voted for a presidential candidate who went on to win the election that only 6 papers endorsed? Who are those papers really representing?
Why would any of those 62 million people bother reading newspapers that have nothing to say them?
The 6 papers that endorsed Trump were mostly locally owned. 4 were either family-owned local papers or had a single owner. Another was a publishing group of 2 papers. Only one was a smallish media group. These are true local papers because they are locally owned and represent the local population.
The local newspaper died long ago when it vanished into the maw of national media groups which made them interchangeable. The absence of political diversity was a reflection of hiring practices that reflected the political views of national corporations, instead of the perspectives of local communities.
McClatchy is headquartered in Sacramento, California. Tribune is based out of Chicago. Gannett is run out of McLean, Virginia, less than a half hour away from Capitol Hill.
There's nothing local about any of this.
The media groups hollowed out local papers. A single dominant local paper with national standing because of its role in a media group often functioned as a virtual monopoly for a particular area. But these miniature versions of the Washington Post weren’t widely read outside local government and business leaders. They were local chapters of a national influence operation with a bad business model.
That’s why the media is upset at the decline and fall of the corporations that controlled local news.
The media keeps insisting that local newspapers are a vital civic institution. But, as the other Marx once said, “Who wants to live in an institution?”
People invest in institutions to the extent that they reflect their values and worldview. Civic comes from the Latin ‘civis’ or citizen. Civic institutions that are not rooted in the civitas are foreign bodies. No institution that usurps the citizenry can be anything other than an engine of cultural colonialism.
Partisan civic institutions are, like the Holy Roman Empire, neither civic nor institutions. They’re the propaganda operations of a political faction which are maintained with money diverted from taxpayers and with funding from wealthy interests connected to that faction. They have no institutional future.
The Left launched its bid for power by hijacking institutions and, in doing so, destroying their legitimacy. Hijacking institutions allows radicals to temporarily wield their power at the cost of crashing the plane. That’s how the institutional legitimacy of academia, the media, and the entertainment industry died.
America is not divided because local newspapers are dying. They’re dying because they’re on one side of the divide. True institutions reflect the diversity of the civitas. False institutions reflect only themselves.
The newspaper business is much more vital and interesting in cities like New York and Boston that still have conservative papers. Discussion and debate are dynamic when there’s more than one point of view. That’s another reason why the people who used to read newspapers moved on to the internet.
The media is an echo chamber. A false institution that does not listen to the citizenry, only hectors it.
And the voice of its echo chamber is losing power.
Trump won even though only a handful of papers endorsed him. He won the White House over the opposition of the big media conglomerates that are racing each to bankruptcy court.
The media makes much of its endorsements. But how much do they really matter?
In one survey 69% of Americans said that a newspaper endorsement of a candidate would have no impact on their vote. 14% said that it would make them more likely to vote for and 14% more likely to vote against. Newspaper endorsements of political candidates couldn’t possibly matter any less.
An older survey however noted that endorsements by “independently owned papers seemed to influence readers more than larger and group-owned papers”.
True local newspapers can still be trusted. Conglomerate papers posing as local aren’t.
Local papers were once local. When they went national, they stopped being civic institutions. The lack of endorsements for Trump and the lack of political diversity are symptoms of the problem. When newspapers became a partisan institution, they stopped being relevant to the lives of much of the country. And they also stopped being interesting even to those readers who agreed with their politics.
As Buffett put it, they “went from monopoly to franchise to competitive to ... toast.”
Trying to subsidize them as non-profits with tech money from Silicon Valley, as Google, Facebook, Apple, and Amazon are doing, won’t change that. Take it from Warren Buffett who lost a fortune trying.

Obama Didn’t Build That. Trump Will Be Judged By The Present State Of The Economy In 2020.
by Robert Romano: “Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history.”
That was former President Barack Obama in a Feb. 17 tweet touting and crediting his administration’s policies with enabling the recovery of the U.S. economy from the financial crisis and Great Recession more than a decade ago.
President Donald Trump responded the same day, tweeting, “Did you hear the latest con job? President Obama is now trying to take credit for the Economic Boom taking place under the Trump Administration. He had the WEAKEST recovery since the Great Depression, despite Zero Fed Rate & MASSIVE quantitative easing.”
This naturally led to a news cycle debating whether President Trump could take credit for any of the economic successes being seen right now—sustained growth, the lowest unemployment in 50 years, rising wages, etc.
But why can Obama take credit for his first few years in office but not Trump?
Here’s the truth.
Incumbents are always judged by the present state of the economy. It’s how the American people hold politicians accountable. Just ask Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush if they think the economy had any bearing on their political fortunes. Both had recessions occur during their first terms in office, which turned out to be their last. No amount of blaming their predecessors would have made a difference.
If the economy were to have entered a recession during President Trump’s watch — recall the headlines from last summer when short term interest rates briefly inverted with long term interest rates — you can bet that President Trump would have been blamed for it.
It stands to reason then that with the economy doing so well, and Americans becoming wealthier, that Trump will undoubtedly receive the lion’s share of the credit when the American people go to vote in November. Voters will likely point to the President’s policies on tax cuts, deregulation and America first trade with new fair and reciprocal trade deals with Mexico, Canada, China, South Korea and Japan as playing a key role.
Obama didn’t build that.
At this point in 2012, the U.S. economy had not produced a single job during the former President Barack Obama’s administration from when he took office in Jan. 2009. It was still down 568,000 jobs, and yet Obama would go on to win the 2012 election.
Was it because Americans blamed Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, for the state of the economy and the 8 million jobs that had been lost in the Great Recession?
Possibly, but the fact is, as tepid as the recovery following the Great Recession were, by 2012, the charts were pointed in the right direction. From the low of 138 million Americans employed in Dec. 2009, by Jan. 2012, it was up to 141.5 million Americans with jobs — a jump of 3.5 million.
If the numbers had kept on sinking throughout Obama’s first term, it might have easily only been a one-term proposition. But things were getting better, albeit slowly, and Obama was reelected fairly easily.
Comparatively, since Jan. 2017 when President Trump took office, the economy has produced 6.5 million jobs in the household survey compiled by the Bureau of Labor Statistics and unemployment remains at a 50-year low of 3.5 percent.
The biggest gains have been made by working age adults, with labor participation for prime working age 25-54-year-olds jumping from 81.5 percent when Trump took office to 83.1 percent today, representing an additional 2 million prime working age Americans in the economy than would have been had participation remained the same. That same participation rate for 25-to-54-year-olds had dropped every single year during the Obama administration until it finally bottomed at 80.7 percent in 2015. There was some recovery in 2016, and then most of the gains occurred starting in 2017 to present.
But somehow, like contortionists, the American people are supposed to discount the gains made during the early Trump years because those were really Obama’s accomplishment, even as Obama takes credit — and took credit on the campaign trail in 2012 — for the jobs created since the Dec. 2009 low, attributing it to the legislation he signed into law.
The fact is the American people will be judging President Trump on the present state of the economy when they go to the polls in November, not former President Obama.
The only question that matters is as Ronald Reagan once put it: Are you better off than you were four years ago?
And Trump has a good story to tell in 2020 about the economy. Is that really surprising to anyone who follows politics? When things are bad, the incumbents get blamed. When they’re good, they get credit.
Which is exactly what’s happening now. The latest Real Clear Politics average of recent polls has President Trump’s job approval on the economy above 55 percent. And that’s even before all of the early primaries for the Democratic nomination have even been completed. That leaves Trump in commanding position in the presidential race as the blue-collar economic boom taking place continues. Stay tuned.

The Massive – But Reversible – Defeats of Iran & Turkey
by Caroline Glick: With our attention focused on other things – Israel’s elections, the legal fraternity’s aggressive lawfare against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Donald Trump’s peace plan, to name just a few – profound strategic shifts have upended the strategic balance in the Middle East.
Israel’s two most formidable adversaries – Iran and Turkey – both came up short in their quests for regional domination, and Israel is reaping the rewards of their losses.
Two weeks ago, Netanyahu held a previously unannounced meeting in Uganda with Sudanese President Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Burhan. Instant commentaries presented the meeting as a salutary side product of the Trump plan. But the truth is much more significant. The sight of the two leaders sitting next to one another smiling made heads explode from Tehran to Ramallah. The Netanyahu-Burhan meeting was no mere byproduct of a peace plan. It was a long planned and hoped for result of a set of policies, that aided by good fortune felled a cataclysmic blow against Iran and its terrorist proxies in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
Until last April, Sudan was ruled for thirty years by Omar al-Bashir. Bashir, an Islamist, was a major sponsor of global terrorism. From 1991-1995, Al Qaeda was headquartered in Khartoum.
Al-Bashir was also a close ally of Iran. He permitted the Iranian regime to use Sudanese ports to move weapons to Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, to Hezbollah in Lebanon and to the Assad regime in Syria. Al-Bashir also allowed the Iranians to use Sudanese territory to surround Saudi Arabia, to transfer weapons to the Houthis in Yemen and to threaten the Saudi port in Jeddah, outside of Mecca, and to threaten Saudi oil platforms at Yanbu.
In December 2018, disgusted by rampant corruption and human rights abuses, the Sudanese people rose up against their leaders. For five months, massive anti-government protests were held throughout the country. Responding to public pressure, last April the Sudanese military overthrew al-Bashir.
The units that overthrew al-Bashir were supported by the Gulf states, Egypt, the U.S. and according to some reports, Israel. The new regime, which is pledged to transition to some form of democracy within two years, is supported by these governments.
Al-Bashir for his part was supported by Iran, Qatar and Turkey. His removal, then was a huge blow to all three. For the Iranian regime, his removal from power by forces allied with Iran’s bitter enemies was arguably a greater loss that the loss of terror master Qassem Soleimani and his lieutenants last month at the hands of a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad. The loss of Sudan calls into question Iran’s continued ability to maintain its regional campaigns.
Consider its positions in two of its satrapies – Iraq and Lebanon.
Among the people killed along with Soleiani was Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the commander of Iran’s Shiite militias in Iraq. This week the Guardian reported in the wake of their deaths, Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi sent his top advisor to Beirut to meet with Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. Mahdi is an Iranian proxy. His representative beseeched Nasrallah to take command of the Shiite militias in Iraq that Soleimani and Muhandis directed. Nasrallah acceded to the request. But, apparently fearing that he would end like Soleimani if he began flying around to rally the troops, Nasrallah said that he would run the militias by remote control from Beirut.
Nasrallah’s decision to take control over Iran’s proxy forces in Iraq endangers Lebanon. The more the evidence piles up that Lebanon is a Hezbollah-controlled Iranian colony, the more likely it becomes that the U.S. will end all its military and civilian assistance to Lebanon.
After a long delay, last month Secretary of State Mike Pompeo approved the transfer of military and civilian aid to Lebanon. That approval is already being questioned and conditioned in the Senate. Without U.S. assistance, the Lebanese economy will crumble.
Like Sudan before it, for the past four months, Lebanon has experienced mass anti-regime protests throughout the country. Long-serving prime minister Saed Hariri resigned last October in a bid to quell the protests. But his resignation had little effect. The protests have continued since. They didn’t diminish with the appointment of Hariri’s replacement Hassan Diab, who was hand-picked by Hezbollah.
In the last week, Iran’s Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif and its speaker of the parliament Ali Larijani both visited Beirut and promised financial assistance. But Iran is in no position to keep such promises. U.S. economic sanctions have dried up Iran’s coffers. The deeper Hezbollah is pulled into Iran’s wars in Syria and Iraq, the worse off Lebanon will be. And the worse the situation becomes in Lebanon, the less likely it becomes that Hezbollah will risk starting a war with Israel.
This then brings us to Iran’s frenemy Turkey.
In a paper published last week by the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle East and Africa Studies, Turkey scholar Dr. Soner Cagaptay described how, over the past decade, Turkish President Recep Erdogan has made and lost a series of strategic gambles that have diminished Turkey as a regional player.
Erdogan views himself as a neo-Ottoman ruler and the head of the Muslim Brotherhood. As such, at the outset of the war in Syria, Erdogan bet on the Sunnis. With halting, lackadaisical U.S. support, he formed the Free Syria Army. The FSA was presented as a coherent fighting force with the will and capacity to defeat Assad and his Iranian patrons. But it was nothing of the sort. The FSA, dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, was a hodgepodge of fighters with no coherent ideology or operational plan. Over time, it was eclipsed by Islamic fanatics who used the FSA organizational framework to form what became the Islamic State.
Since Erdogan supports Islamists, he placed no limits on the entry of foreign fighters to Turkey en route to Syria. From 2013-2015, the Turkish side of the Turkish-Syrian border became the logistical base and economic hub of IS in Syria.
International revulsion at IS’s barbarism compelled the Obama administration to send forces to Syria to fight it. The U.S. forged an alliance with the Kurdish YPG militia to advance this aim. The YPG is a spinoff of the Turkish Kurdish PKK, which the Turks consider an existential threat. The U.S. partnership with the YPG, forged as a consequence of Turkey’s indirect sponsorship and facilitation of IS, significantly strained U.S.-Turkish relations.
To fight the U.S. allied Kurds, Erdogan betrayed Washington and tried to make a deal with Russia and Iran at the Kurds’ expense.
Angered by Turkey’s embrace of Russia and by regime-incited anti-Americanism that fomented the arrest and judicial persecution of American pastor Andrew Brunson, last year President Trump imposed economic sanctions on Turkey that nearly destroyed the economy.
Today, Erdogan is in a new mess of his own design. In the battle for Idlib, Turkish forces are pitted against their erstwhile Russian, Iranian and Syrian partners. The Americans have publicly sided with the Turks, but to receive more than rhetorical support from Washington, Erdogan will be forced to undermine his own tenuous ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin still further.
Which brings us to the self-inflicted mess Erdogan has created for himself in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Erdogan’s Muslim Brotherhood sympathies made him the greatest supporter of Mohamed Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt in 2012. When the Egyptian military deposed the Morsi government in 2013, Turkish-Egyptian relations became openly hostile.
In part to undermine Turkish power, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, has forged close ties with other Mediterranean Basin countries – and Turkish foes – Greece, Cyprus and Israel. Supported by the Trump administration, the burgeoning alliance between these four states has led to joint military exercises between Egypt, Cyprus and Greece on the one hand and Israel, Greece and Cyprus on the other. It also is the context in which Egypt signed a deal to import Israeli natural gas. The Israeli-Cypriot-Greek gas pipeline to Europe will bypass Turkey.
To extricate Turkey from the regional isolation he induced, last December Erdogan signed a maritime cooperation agreement with the Tripoli-based Libyan government. The Tripoli-based government is at war with the Tabruk-based Libyan government supported by Egypt, the UAE and Russia. Today, Tabruk-based forces are advancing in their offensive against Tripoli.
To save his allies in Tripoli, Erdogan will need Putin’s help. And if he receives it, it will further weaken his ties with America.
In other words, Erdogan is boxed in and has no good options.
Then there is the Turkish economy. As a Chatham House report on the Turkish economy published early this week showed, Turkey’s government stimulus-induced inflation and cheap credit are positioning the Turkish lira for another collapse. The political implications of another economic meltdown, just two years after the last one are self-evident.
Israel and the Sunni Arab states, as well as the United States are enjoying the benefits of the Iranian and Turkish defeats. This owes in great part to the strategic priorities their leaders have adopted. Netanyahu, Trump, Sisi, and the other allied leader have placed a premium on defeating and weakening their enemies. New leaders, with different strategic priorities are liable to squander these gains and even reverse them.
During the Munich Security Conference last weekend, Senator Chris Murphy, (D., CN) met secretly with Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif. Former U.S. secretary of state John Kerry and other Democratic senators reportedly also participated in the meeting. After the U.S. media reported that the secret conclave had taken place, Murphy acknowledged his participation. He argued that the Trump administration’s maximum pressure strategy is a complete failure – even as Iran’s regional position is collapsing in broad daylight.
Last year, the Democratic National Committee passed a resolution committing the next Democratic administration to restoring the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran. All of the Democratic presidential candidates have expressed varying degrees of commitment to the pledge.
Since leaving office, Kerry has remained in contact with Zarif and has reportedly advised him about how to ride out the economic sanctions imposed by the Trump administration in order to survive into the next Democratic administration.
As for Israel, earlier this week, Blue and White party leaders Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid harshly criticized Netanyahu for maintaining close ties with Trump. Both men pledged to cultivate Israel’s relations with the Democrats.
Gantz’s top advisor Yoram Turbovich was Ehud Olmert’s chief of staff during his tenure as prime minister. Last week Olmert travelled to America as the guest of J Street, which in turn enjoys close relations with radical, anti-Israel Democrats. Gantz’s campaign strategist Joel Benenson served in the same role for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
If the next Israeli government prioritizes good relations with pro-Iranian Democrats over defeating Israel’s enemies, it will necessarily undermine the strategic windfall we are now experiencing. Nothing happens by accident. If the strategic processes now taking place don’t have the time to mature, they can and likely will be reversed.

Black History Month: Why Don’t They Teach About the Arab-Muslim Slave Trade in Africa?
Larry Elder
by Larry Elder: As for America’s annual Black History Month, actor Morgan Freeman spoke for many during this 2005 exchange with CBS’s Mike Wallace on “60 Minutes”:
Wallace: “Black History Month, you find …”
Freeman: “Ridiculous.”
Wallace: “Why?”
Freeman: “You’re going to relegate my history to a month?”
Wallace: “Come on.”
Freeman: “What do you do with yours? Which month is White History Month? Come on; tell me.”
Wallace: “I’m Jewish.”
Freeman: “OK. Which month is Jewish History Month?”
Wallace: “There isn’t one.”
Freeman: “Why not? Do you want one?”
Wallace: “No, no.”
Freeman: “I don’t either. I don’t want a Black History Month. Black history is American history.”
Wallace: “How are we going to get rid of racism until … ?”
Freeman: “Stop talking about it. I’m going to stop calling you a white man. And I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You’re not going to say, ‘I know this white guy named Mike Wallace.’ Hear what I’m saying?”
Despite years of Black History Februarys, many know little to nothing about the vast role played by Arab and Muslim slavers in the African slave trade. The practice began centuries before Europeans slavers bought and transported slaves out of Africa and continued well after European slavery ended.
Temple University professor Marc Lamont Hill, for example, teaches media studies and urban education. He once tweeted, “I support reparations 100%.” When the NFL offered its players a 2017 trip to Israel to give them a better understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Hill encouraged the players not to go. About an open letter signed by several prominent blacks in the entertainment industry and others known for their involvement in social justice, Hill wrote, “The letter drew on the undeniable connections between the struggles faced by black and brown communities in the U.S., and Palestinian, Afro Palestinian, Eritrean and Sudanese communities in Israel and Palestine.” Did the “struggles” to which Hill referred have anything to do with Arab and Muslim slavers?
During February, students K-12 are, of course, taught about slavery. But as with Hill, what many teachers seem not to emphasize is that slavery is as ancient as humankind and that it was practiced nearly everywhere. Economist Thomas Sowell writes: “More whites were brought as slaves to North Africa than blacks brought as slaves to the United States or to the 13 colonies from which it was formed. White slaves were still being bought and sold in the Ottoman Empire, decades after blacks were freed in the United States.” This includes the huge role played by Arab-Muslim slavers.
As to the Arab-Muslim slave trade, Ghanaian professor and minister John Azumah helped set the record straight in “The Legacy of Arab-Islam in Africa.” In an interview about his book, Azumah said the following:
“While two out of every three slaves shipped across the Atlantic were men, the proportions were reversed in the Islamic slave trade. Two women for every man were enslaved by the Muslims.
“While the mortality rate of the slaves being transported across the Atlantic was as high as 10%, the percentage of the slaves dying in transit in the Tran-Saharan and East African slave market was a staggering 80 to 90%.
“While almost all the slaves shipped across the Atlantic were for agricultural work, most of the slaves destined for the Muslim Middle East were for sexual exploitation as concubines in harems and for military service.
“While many children were born to the slaves in the Americas, the millions of their descendants are citizens in Brazil and the United States today. Very few descendants of the slaves who ended up in the Middle East survived.
“While most slaves who went to the Americas could marry and have families, most of the male slaves destined for the Middle East were castrated, and most of the children born to the women were killed at birth.
“It is estimated that possibly as many as 11 million Africans were transported across the Atlantic, 95% of which went to South and Central America, mainly to Portuguese, Spanish and French possessions; only 5% of the slaves ended up in what we call the United States today.
“However, a minimum of 28 million Africans were enslaved in the Muslim Middle East. Since at least 80% of those captured by the Muslim slave traders were calculated to have died before reaching the slave markets, it is believed that the death toll from 1,400 years of Arab and Muslim slave raids into Africa could have been as high as 112 million.”
Mr. Freeman is right. Black history is American history. It ought not be “relegated” to a month, and slavery ought not be relegated to only the European slave trade. The truth about slavery includes the long, extensive and deadly role played by Arab and Muslim slavers.

by Lloyd Marcus: Democrat hatred for Donald Trump and his supporters has become so evil that when you look up “demonic” in the dictionary, a Democrat group photo is there. These people are consumed with hate, collecting scalps and destroying the lives of anyone associated with President Trump.
Ludicrously, Democrats seek to impeach Trump and AG William Barr for righteously unraveling their sham investigation which suggested a seven-nine-year prison sentence for Roger Stone for questionable process crimes. Rapists and armed robbers have received less than Stone’s effective life sentence.
Deep state bad players want Stone to die in jail because they hate him for not giving in whimpering to their demands and not providing them ammo to “get Trump” in the Mueller witch-hunt. Folks, our terrifying reality is that government agencies are weaponized to punish anyone Democrats don’t like. Remember when Obama used the IRS to punish the Tea Party?
David Limbaugh is a #1 national bestselling author. His book, Guilty by Reason of Insanity: Why The Democrats Must Not Win, is truly chilling.
In 2016, Google’s manipulation of votes gave 2.6 million additional votes to Hillary Clinton. With Google, Facebook, and Twitter rallying behind the Democrat/socialist presidential candidate in 2020, they can deliver 15 million additional votes without leaving a paper trail or the public realizing it. Along with various hidden tricks, they will launch a tsunami of “go-vote” notices to Democrats.
Trumpers, we must get out our voters.
Fox News’ Sean Hannity said while he believes Trump will win in November, he fears we may become overconfident. Sean believes we must campaign intensely as if Trump is trailing in the polls.
I agree with Sean. I am campaigning my butt off to insure the reelection of our president.

by Cliff Kincaid: Michael Bloomberg's fellow Democrats didn't want to talk about how he has made his billions through an extremely successful computer program that analyzes global financial markets. His Bloomberg terminals represent innovations in financial technology that emerged in 1982 and have made him a billionaire. He has generated wealth for many people.
But he didn't grasp the socialist hatred for successful people.
Led by a fake American Indian, Senator Elizabeth Warren, his opponents used the politics of personal destruction against the only one on the stage who had started a business.
"I can't think of a way that would make it easier for Donald Trump to get re-elected than listening to this conversation," said Bloomberg about the socialist tone of the debate. "We're not going to throw out capitalism.... Other countries tried that. It was called communism, and it just didn't work."
He was even asked by one of the moderators if as a billionaire he should exist. "I can't speak for all billionaires," he said. "All I know is I've been very lucky, made a lot of money, and I'm giving it all away to make this country better. And a good chunk of it goes to the Democratic Party, as well."
It looks like he has failed to buy the party. But there are many more contests to go. And he still has billions to spend.
His other zinger was directed at Senator Bernie Sanders, whose honeymoon was in the old Soviet Union. "What a wonderful country we have," said Bloomberg. "The best-known socialist in the country happens to be a millionaire with three houses."
While Bloomberg makes computer products that are useful to people, especially investors, Sanders is a professional politician who peaches hatred of business people who make it big in society. He attacks billionaires but is selective in his outrage. Billionaire hedge fund operator George Soros, who manipulates and exchanges currencies, has escaped his wrath. Convicted of insider trading in France, his currency manipulations against the Bank of England damaged the British pound and hurt the investments of ordinary people. With much of his wealth in the hands of tax-exempt foundations, he now says he supports Sanders' proposal for higher taxes on the "wealthy."
Bloomberg was supposed to be different. He actually worked hard and produced useful products. At the University of Maryland last year, in a commencement address, Bloomberg described how he started out on Wall Street and got fired. But he had an idea for what became the computerized Bloomberg terminals. "I had to build a new computer from parts you could just go buy from Radio Shack," he said. "I had to write the code to run it. And I had to string telephone lines across the country to connect them, creating the first intranet. There were a million reasons why people told me: you can't. But I sucked it up and assembled a small, young team that believed in the idea, and together we said: we will. And we did."
Bloomberg's main problem is that his money has gone to his head, convincing him that being a billionaire qualifies him to manage the affairs of the United States and the world. Through his massive financial "contributions," he has major influence over such elite organizations as the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the Trilateral Commission. He works closely with the United Nations and funds groups such as Planned Parenthood. He opposes Second Amendment rights and says, "I do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom." His wealth has led to a demand for power over others.
As we saw in Las Vegas, Bloomberg is not a socialist. But he has become something similar – a technocrat. These are people who believe their superior financial standing – and alleged superior intelligence – should qualify them as managers of our future. Like many technocrats, they admire Communist China's method of controlling people. "Xi Jinping is not a dictator," says the candidate.
A truly frightening aspect of this attitude is what has occurred in Bloomberg's news operation.
Bloomberg, who is worth over $60 billion, is not on the "Bloomberg Billionaires Index," distributed by Michael Bloomberg's news service. Out of deference to his status as the billionaire owner of the Bloomberg news service, his subordinates in the organization have left him off a factual listing of billionaires in America and around the world. That's because Bloomberg News declares that its editorial policy is to not cover Michael Bloomberg, the founder and majority owner of Bloomberg L.P.
This is a dishonest approach to politics and makes his "journalist" employees into propagandists.
Before the Vegas debate, Bloomberg released a plan for Wall Street that included a financial transactions tax. He thought this would protect him from socialist attacks on his wealth. Instead, his fellow Democrats went after him on personal grounds.
Today, he's under personal attack for comments about women and minorities, while his Wall Street tax has been exposed as affecting the stock trades of small investors with IRAs, Mutual Funds, and pensions. It is also a back-door approach to a global tax. Indeed, a global financial transactions tax has been under discussion for many years among left-wing groups promoting more foreign aid or "action" on climate change. (Sanders also favors such a tax).
Bloomberg is a pathetic figure who could have rallied voters under a banner of capitalism and freedom. Instead, he is trying to make a socialist political party into a personal vehicle for a power grab. His "mini" nature is not his height, but his mythical status as a great political thinker. Still, on many issues, he and Bolshevik Bernie see eye to eye.
Whatever the future holds, he will undoubtedly pledge millions or even billions to the Democratic Party.
Antony Sutton wrote about this kind of relationship in his classic 1974 book, Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution, documenting a link between certain financial and banking interests and the Bolshevik cause. This year, the target is America, and Bloomberg is apparently counting on backing from China, having collaborated with Beijing on an event titled the "New Economy Forum."
In the same way that Barack Hussein Obama emerged as the favorite of Wall Street interests in 2008, Sanders could become their perfect front man in 2020. Such a scenario may require the same kind of financial meltdown that happened just six weeks before the 2008 presidential election. China could make that happen.

Parents Ask Court to Stop Schools From Helping Children Make Gender Transitions
by Fred Lucas: A group of Wisconsin parents is asking a state court to halt a public school district’s policy that they say instructs teachers to assist and encourage children in adopting transgender identities without notifying—and possibly while deceiving—parents.
The lawsuit is being brought by 14 parents, representing eight families, who allege the Madison Metropolitan School District’s policy violates constitutionally protected parental rights.
The lawsuit, filed in Dane County Circuit Court, includes an affidavit from Dr. Stephen B. Levine, a distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, in which he asserts that gender transitions for minors expose vulnerable children to dangerous, lifelong physical, social, and mental health risks.
“For a child to live radically different identities at home and at school, and to conceal what he or she perceives to be his or her true identity from parents, is psychologically unhealthy in itself, and could readily lead to additional psychological problems,” Levine writes in the affidavit. “Extended secrecy and a ‘double life’ concealed from the parents is rarely the path to psychological health. For this reason at least, schools should not support deceit of parents.”
Levine’s affidavit continues:Most children are both legally and developmentally incapable of giving informed consent to such a life-altering intervention. And parents, of course, cannot give informed consent if the fact of their child’s wish to assume a transgender identity is concealed from them. The 14 parents are represented by lawyers with Alliance Defending Freedom and the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, both nonprofit, public interest legal organizations.
“This is a life-altering decision that educators have no business making,” Roger Brooks, ADF senior counsel, said. “As Dr. Levine explains based on decades of experience and extensive scientific literature, putting children on a pathway to puberty-blockers and cross-sex hormones can have devastating effects across a lifetime. That should serve as a wake-up call to parents and all Americans: When schools cast aside biological reality in favor of gender-identity ideology, it’s children who are hurt the most.”
The legal motion formally requests the court to impose a temporary injunction against the school district’s policy.
The school district hadn’t been served with the lawsuit as of late Wednesday, said Tim LeMonds, public information officer for Madison Metropolitan School District. LeMonds said the district wouldn’t comment without reviewing the claims.
The school district “prioritizes working in collaboration with families to support our students and it is always our preferred method of support,” LeMonds said in a formal statement, adding:MMSD must also prioritize the safety and well-being of every individual student who walks through its doors each day. It is with this focus [that] the district stands by its guidance document on transgender and non-binary students, and recognizes its tremendous responsibility to uphold the right of every child to be educated in a safe, all-inclusive, and nondiscriminatory learning environment. The lawsuit calls for school officials to be transparent and honest when dealing with parents, and to meet standards of informed consent.
The 50-page affidavit from Levine says that multiple studies show that among children who experience gender dysphoria or transgender identification but do not socially transition, 80% to 98% “desisted,” or became comfortable with their biological sex, by young adulthood, according to Alliance Defending Freedom.
The affidavit also says that among boys “who engaged in a partial or complete social transition before puberty,” according to other data, fewer than 20% had desisted when surveyed at age 15 or older.
“It is profoundly unethical to reinforce a male child in his belief that he is not a boy (or a female child in her belief that she is not a girl), and it is particularly unethical to intervene in the normal physical development of a child to ‘affirm’ a ‘gender identity’ that is at odds with bodily sex,” Ryan T. Anderson, a senior research fellow at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal in an email, adding:To do any of this without parental involvement not only harms children but violates parental authority. Childhood and adolescence are difficult enough as it is. Adults should not corrupt the social ecology in which children develop a mature understanding of themselves as boys or girls on the pathway to becoming men or women.--------------------- Fred Lucas is the White House correspondent for The Daily Signal and co-host of "The Right Side of History" podcast. by Mario Murillo Ministries:: Every day someone comes up with a new reason for believing that Trump is finished. However, the FBI found out that conspiring against the President backfires. The media went for ratings by bashing Trump, only to lose ratings and credibility.
Mueller’s witch-hunt investigation has flamed out as a political disaster. Americans saw the insanity of it.
Comey said his new book would do Trump in. Instead, it was as effective as shooting spit balls at a battleship.
CBS believed it had the silver bullet that would end Trump. Recall how they gleefully believed that a Sunday night interview with a porn star would be the end of Trump. Monday came, and they joined a long list of disappointed Trump haters whose weapons did not prosper.
400 newspapers declared war on Trump. Now many of them are up for sale and the survivors are fighting to stay in business.
The impeachment not only fizzled, it drove people to leave the Democrat Party.
I could go on and on.
You don’t need to worry about Donald Trump. Let me give you seven reasons why all the attacks on Trump will fail.
1. The poll numbers are skewed against him. Scientists have shown that when people have a favorite candidate who is attacked by the press they go silent. They still support the person, they just won’t tell you. Many, many more than we hear about still support Trump.
Even so, Democratic pundits are dismayed at the way Trump survives. They were counting on a major drop in support after Trump’s impeachment. It just never happened. In fact, quite the opposite happened: his poll numbers climbed.
2. Americans have a deep sense of fair play. They go for the underdog. People see through the flagrant, wanton, partisan and disgraceful attacks on Trump by the media. They are giving him a break for that. They also understand his rookie mistakes; he is not a politician. We elected him because we didn’t want a politician, remember?
Uber-liberal director Rob Reiner denounced Robert De Niro and other celebrities for their rants against President Trump, saying it only helps the President. And Reiner is correct.
3. It’s the economy.Unemployment is at a 16-year low, and the consumer sentiment levels are at near record highs. When all the background noise settles, and the voter who now has a good paying job, prepares to pull the lever in 2020, the thought of returning to an Obama economy will horrify.
4. President Trump has plenty of time to win back those who have turned against him.Listen to Jake Novak senior editor at CNBC: “Both party establishments still need a vote-getting leader and President Trump already has the White House leadership role they covet. He has enormous executive power at his fingertips and the ability to win over some doubters with just the passage of time.”
5. The other side still looks so much worse. Elizabeth Warren is a shrill-throated hater of the white middle-class worker. Bernie Sanders’ economy from Mars plays well only because pot is legal on campus. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made socialism so unpopular it has 18% approval. Maxine Waters is a VOTE FOR TRUMP machine. Nancy Pelosi is, well, Nancy Pelosi. Joe Biden is a creepy man.
6. Millions are praying for our nation. There is no way that the fervent prayer of millions will go unheeded in heaven. Sometimes, in the early stages of revival, things look as if they are getting worse before they get better.
I know Satan is writhing in agony right now. He knows his time is short. He knows what God is about to do. He is in a futile rage against the inevitable answer. He is spewing deception to make the anointed vessels of God think that no answer is coming.
7.This is the big one: Trump is here by divine appointment. Trump will survive. Not because he’s perfect. Not because his base is fiercely loyal. He will survive even though he is hard for some Christians to take. He is here by divine appointment. Can you hear heads exploding? Yes, you heard me right—he is here because God set him in the White House.
Today Maxine Waters said God has raised her up to bring Trump down. Can you guess how that is going to turn out?
Donald Trump is here to wreck and dismantle. He is here to apply strong medicine to a self-destructive nation.
Nothing else explains why he is still standing after the cruelest and most unrelenting attack on any leader in American history since Abraham Lincoln. More importantly, nothing else explains why none of this has broken his spirit. Deal with it. Someone way bigger than you and me wants him right where he is—doing just what he is doing.
Call him ruthless and impetuous, but President Trump is here until he fulfills his purpose.
Urgent final remarks: To all the intercessors who cried out for a national miracle—you got it. It’s just a much rougher package than you imagined.
He will put another conservative on the Supreme Court. He is standing with Israel. He is against abortion. He is putting prayer back in schools. He is not only securing our borders, but also working to stop other nations from abusing and harming us.
Thoughtful believers see past the fog. They see what I see. They are praying for his protection, for wisdom and for God’s continued favor.
The big question is why is Trump here? Here comes the chilling answer: Trump is buying time for the sleeping church to wake up and do her job. Trump is the divine stop-gap that has been brought to us by the mercy of God.
Nothing could be worse for us than to waste this miracle. Nothing could be more grieving to God than for the American church to be ungrateful for a man—though a rough customer—who is taking the hits for standing for all the values that we cherish.
As I said before, he will not be removed from office. And if the rising church continues at the current pace, the next four years, and more, are his. Hate me, laugh at me, despise my writing…it does not matter, I know it’s true. And it is time for the church to rise up and be the church!
